Re: JYAI Boeing KC-46A’s

Mark, I've PM'd you a link to the paint kit in .psp format.

Let me know if you have any problems.

Re: JYAI Boeing KC-46A’s

I have an attempt at one Mark, but the .psp file corrupts when saved as a .psd file. I can let you have the .psp version but I think you will need Paint Shop Pro 2020 or later to open it. Alternatively I can let you have a single layer .bmp file in 2048 x 2048 format if that might help - it's mostly...

Re: General MAIW Conversion Package issues

Hi Slayer and welcome to the forum. Flightplans (traffic.bgl) files go in FSX/scenery/world/scenery. Assuming the aircraft are installed correctly and you have the corresponding scenery with the correct parking spot sizes active, they should appear. The biggest cause of FSX traffic not showing is th...

Re: MAIW MSFS conversion

Yes indeed, the flight plans are in FSX format and I used AIFP to produce the test set for the MSFS F-35A's at Lakenheath. For the tests, they are IFR circuit plans. The pukka package ones might well be more sophisticated than that, provided there are destination AFCADs to fly to and/or waypoints, a...

Re: Hello John Young

Hi Preston,

I posted a recent report of my position with MSFS here:

https://militaryaiworks.com/forums/topi ... 00#p208700

I'll hopefully be updating that again shortly with more progress.

Re: Windows 7 problems

Steve, I'm following this with interest, not that I'm thinking of changing my PC at the moment. Would you be inclined to over-clock the i9-12900K from the 3.20Ghz. My FS9 didn't like over-clocking on my previous PC, FSX, P3D and MSFS are working fine for me with an un-clocked i7 9700K. Any advice on...

Thanks Tim, I was just thinking about Martin's suggestion for an AI Zeppelin, or something similar in principle.

Tim, do any modern airships (Blimps) operate from those hangars at KNUQ?

Re: MAIW MSFS conversion

Technically, we are coming to the end of the "Proof of Concept" phase. Conversion certainly looks possible and I only have a couple of visibility bugs to resolve and I will have completed 14 of my F-35A's that I now have flying at Lakenheath. It's taken me 6 months and 200-300 hours of wor...

Thanks ever so much for that. The inclusion of the file enabled me to confirm something else. It's a really useful piece of information when it comes to FSX to MSFS conversion.

FSX Acceleration SDK

If anyone has the SDK installed from the FSX Acceleration disks (not the Deluxe version that I have myself), could they tell me what the modeldef.xml file size on disk is please? I just want to compare the two. The file should be in the path SDK\Environment Kit\Modelling Kit\bin\modeldef.xml. John

Re: MSFS 2020

Not as far as building from scratch with Blender is concerned, but certainly by converting from FSX native AI models. One of the reasons for me discontinuing FS9 models was to free time to be spent on learning conversion to MSFS - a lot of time indeed as it's turned out. We are indebted to Pete (PB6...

Do you have all 5 object libraries installed and their textures, as listed in the manual, plus the MAIW Global Object libraries?

Re: North American RA-5C Vigilante

The RA-5C Vigilante's for FS9 and FSX/P3D have been sent for inclusion in the Download Hangar. The packages feature 12 aircraft from 3 US Navy squadrons that were among the last to retire. Both land-based and carrier-based models and FDE’s are included, along with wing/nose-fold and LS-43AI Photo Fl...

Re: North American RA-5C Vigilante

Thanks all, for trying to find it. I know it's in Matrix because Tim used it for Key West, but I need to find the source for FSX and P3D non-Matrix users.

Don't worry, I'll just slip a note in the manual to say "source unknown".

Re: North American RA-5C Vigilante

I should be ready to upload the Vigilante packages this weekend, but I need a small piece of information to complete the manual. That's a link to the package that has the "Florennes_Object_Library.bgl" in it. I would have thought the Belgian Alpha Jets package, but not so, I think. Could a...

Re: Agusta A109's

Then it's probably jumping AFCADs to the main one underneath. Try moving the overlay so that it is clear of the main one. Also try moving the ARF in the overlay. We have a similar problem on landing with an overlay for Key West that we haven't resolved yet.
