Re: Thanks for the KC-130 Japan Package
What a bummer. I reversed the tail ID. I painted "HB", instead of "BH". Emailed John the erroneous .dds. Have to go back in on two aircraft and fix that. Also painted the AGM-114 Hellfire wrong from info I received. The tips are silver and the head is not yellow, but the blue str...

Re: Thanks for the KC-130 Japan Package
Friend clickclickdoh: You are the greatest. The problem was that I had downloaded KC-130 MCAS Iwakuni Japan and had made John unhappy with my "degraded" renderings <smile>. That proggy had textures titled "KC-130J" with which I was dutifully working with PSP and Dxtbmp, after sav...

Re: Thanks for the KC-130 Japan Package
OK, I have everything done and it looks great in PSP. I have it in 1024 x 1024 and have saved it as .bmp. I opened it in Dxtbmp but how do I "add the alpha channel". I didn't do anything about an alpha channel, but I flipped (both??) vertically and saved it as .dds Dxt5 and placed that .dd...

Re: Thanks for the KC-130 Japan Package
Re-did Sagittarius from the patch and background painted it in the color of the tail (stupid color pick gave me the wrong color figures in Paint Shop Pro, so I used those from Paint) and that worked fine when I placed them on the tail in Paint Shop Pro with a layer named Sagittarius. Going to do the...

Re: Thanks for the KC-130 Japan Package
clickclickdoh: I am in the process of learning with the paint kit and Paint Shop Pro. I have already erased the ID and placed BH on the tail. I am now figuring out how to change the color of the text. Then I have to figure out how to paste the Sagettarius horse and stars tail flash onto the tail. It...

Re: Thanks for the KC-130 Japan Package
My friend John: I really do appreciate your message and all the work you folks do for the rest of us. My renditions are simply statues sitting on the tarmac at MGUM, when I land there. They only move in the middle of the night one day a week, because that is the way to program them to sit there the ...

Re: Thanks for the KC-130 Japan Package
John, friend, no problem. In error, I just sent you everything using my wife's email. If you didn't recognize it and deleted it, I will be happy to resend with my email instead. Getting old really sucks! BUT I sent you a pic of the actual tail on the KNKT runway from my email just now. John

Thanks for the KC-130 Japan Package
JYAI KC-13J’s, MCAS Iwakuni Japan for FS9, FSX and P3Dv4 by John Young and Brent Newman Didn't need the Japan package, but sorely needed these beautiful C-130 Harvest Hawks for P3Dv4 and VMRG-252, MAG-14. 2ND MAW, at Cherry Point NC (KNKT) and correcting tail and wing ID, adding our beautiful tail f...

Re: C-130's at KCLT
KC10 Pilot: Hi there. Well I finally gave up and checked from what bases that Charlotte received theirs on the KCLT NCANG Website and found them in MAIW\Military AI Works\MAIW RWAI Boeing C-17 Globemaster III. I then transferred those into a new folder named Charlotte ANG. Then from the Charlotte AN...

Re: C-130's at KCLT
ahs06: Oh don't I know it and good for them. But landing on RWY 18R and passing the ANGB can get a good look and parking in the lot next door can also. These are ANG AW's currently fighting fires in California, not secret fighters or bombers. Someone will get them for us. They post 3 of them on thei...

Re: C-130's at KCLT
morbidfred: Thanks any help is appreciated, because it appears the duty folks at Charlotte ANGB either don't know or something else. I really don't wish to be a bother to them doing their special work. Flood watch: drainage ditch at rear was empty and now is about to overflow upstream from the Inter...

Re: C-130's at KCLT
Chris: Yes I am in the process of painting. I am stymied by the lack of actual tail numbers and have obtained two so far 00-183 and 10-197. I have a call into 145th AW for the rest. I obtained the entire tail striping (aircraft with sword through the middle and looks like afterburner or fire out of ...

Re: C-130's at KCLT
Firebird (Steve) Friend: Thx for the reply. I finally found the Charlotte ones in MAIW_HTAI C130H under RCH_XX_156.xx and deleted them in the cfg and their textures. I could not find their flight plans to delete those. No biggie. They are gone. If they are in Seaboard ANG, I don't have that package ...

C-130's at KCLT
I have C-130's sitting in the current C-17 parking slots at Charlotte North Carolina ANG area and need to find what MAIW package they are in so that I can get rid of them. I have attempted to search all installed packages and would like to delete these aircraft that do not belong here anymore. I mod...

Re: MAIW RWAI C-17 Globemaster III Conversion Support
Two questions: 1: Are there traffic files available for this package because I did not find any in the download, and, if so, where are they located, or do I have to create some myself? 2: I have some FSX AI files for the C-17 for Charlotte ANG base in NC, but I can't add them (they don't show up) ev...

Re: Military AI Helicopters E-101
Victory my man: HeliTraffic might say 2009, but it has been upgraded for FSX also. And thanks for the info in your reply. I will check out your suggestions. I don't need to watch them takeoff or land around midnight on Sundays, I just need them to be in their parking spots during daylight hours the ...
