Re: Possible Problem??
This is the best C-5 I ever found. The doors opening, trucks, helicopters, jeeps. Actually, I have tried 8 different versions of this C5. Let's say on bygone hard drives, I never had this occurrence to happen. This is a new seagate 1Tb I'm using now.

Re: Possible Problem??
Well, I removed one C5 from the flightplans and replaced it with a C-141. No more crashes.

JohnTenn: I did try that first but had no luck. Not the first time hearing of this Memory Leak in FS9. Thank You for the suggestion.
Steve, Thank you so much for the suggestions. Will try out what what you said.

Possible Problem??
Have run into a problem with the package the MAIW AMC West C5. In AIFP v 2.2.08, I create a flight plan for the C5. Load FS2004, and there it sits. Problem: I notice my hard drive starts to continuously "read", if that is the correct word. The yellow light shines steadily. Then the compute...

Re: FSDS 3.5.1 Tutorial to create models in FS2004 with Low LOD
I made a open top deuce and a half truck. The polygon count is 4809. I would like to learn the proper way to create a project with a low poly count. I "think" it is to late to reduce it now that it is complete, isn't it. This would be a Scenery model for FS9.

FSDS 3.5.1 Tutorial to create models in FS2004 with Low LOD
Have you possibly done a tutorial for beginners who want to create a low frame rate LOD project in FS9?
I found one from Farfy Scenery - but it was for FSX.
Thank you

Re: AMC West C-5 Question
Gentlemen, here is what I have done. Let me say first of all my flightplans are created with AIFP2 update. I used a 4 hour flightplan on both. Today I downloaded the MAIW West Coast C17s. I redid my flightplans and used the C-17's in place of the C-5's at the same airport. The C-17's flew perfect. A...

Re: AMC West C-5 Question
FireBird, how do I confirm the cfg? Is it permissible to make a copy and paste it here in the forum? Don't want to use up a lot of space. All I can say is it is the one I got with the download. I did search for answers prior writing this message. Another one of these "Only To Me" issues! A...

AMC West C-5 Question
Using Win 7 and FSX. Installed the C-5 from this download. Taxi's out perfect. Starts taking off and the nose goes into the runway. Finally it lifts off (past runway already). Banks to the right - and nose dives into the ground. Is windows 7 causing this problem - or is there a update or correction ...

Re: Texture Sheet Question
Weescotty; thanks for the reply. I have done what you mentioned. The problem I don't understand is, using 256 x 256 or 512 x 512 and using the x tile, the surface is not completely covered as it does using a 1024 x 1024 texture. I get "skips" between the texture I am trying to apply. As I ...

Texture Sheet Question
Trying to create first texture sheet. I know MAIW is for AI aircraft - but hope someone can help me here. I created a terminal using FSDS. I made a texture sheet 1024 x 1024. I have a wall that is 175 feet long. Problem: If I make a texture 256 x 256, or 512 x 512, I cannot cover the full length of ...

Re: MAIW AMC West C5 Question
Victory103: You seem to do the same type installation I do; manually. My question is: If yours works properly in FSX and you got your download from MAIW, why would mine be having a problem?? They should all be the same. But, that is just my luck!! My other downloads from MAIW are error free. Have yo...

Re: MAIW AMC West C5 Question
Gentlemen, thanks for the response. Had a hard drive "malfunction" - Virus got me. Changed the flight from VFR to IFR. The C5 did finally take off. But the nose and tail started "bobbing" up and down in flight. Then the nose went straight up!! Then came the crash. Victory103, did...

Re: MAIW AMC West C5 Question
No Sir, but I am going to try that right now. Thank you for the idea.
Well, I made new flightplans for KDFW - Same results. On liftoff, front lifts up - smoke everywhere, tail goes into runway. After liftoff, goes back to ground level. Just wiped out lot of people's homes!!

Re: MAIW AMC West C5 Question
This C5 is the only AI at KGRK. Used AIFP for flightplan. Did you install the 21st CAV AH-64 package and use the supplied AFCAD fix for GRK and HLR? No Sir. I downloaded the file from MAIW. Then, I extracted to the MAIW AMC West folder created by rar. Then, I ran the MAIW AMC West C5.exe and had the...
