Re: AIFP 3.3 potential issue

No 3.3.1.2 is NOT the update we have been working towards. All it did was fix the problem that Joseph had. The issue is resolved but Don wants to correct something at the core of the issue. Something that affects all versions from FS9 onwards up to and including P3Dv5. To deal with that root cause h...

Re: AIFP 3.3 potential issue

An update.

It looks like Don has cracked it. I have tested the latest version and it all appears to be working fine.
Will have to check with Don to see if there is anything else outstanding and if he tells me when the new version is released I will update again.

Re: AIFP 3.3 potential issue

Just an update to the problem I reported.

Don has made progress to overcome the issue but there are one or two other things to fix with it. However, he has also discovered an issue that broke P3D v4/5 support so he is working on two issues at the moment.

Re: AIFP 3.3 potential issue

OK an update.
After various tests and information exchanges Don is convinced that his new code that he developed has a unforeseen logic hole.
He anticipates that it should be easy to find the fault and come up with a fixed version.

Re: AIFP 3.3 potential issue

An update after some investigation between Don and myself. The issue appears to be that AIFP either terminates the search for new afcads early or terminates in an uncontrolled manner. We currently believe it to be the first one. I have just sent him some more diags which I think points to where it i...

AIFP 3.3 potential issue

Gents, This morning I upgraded AIFP to the latest version 3.3.1.1 and I believe I discovered an issue. I have reported it Don who is investigating but for the moment I would advise not to upgrade from any 3.2 version. The issue concerns some P3Dv5 compatibility he has added in the area of Find/Colle...

Re: SBuilder & Win10 2004

I know what you meant, Tim. Please let me be clear here. I wasn't thinking about solving an SBuilder problem for you. I was only thinking about solving the Comdlg32 issue. It just so happens that Sbuilder is the only thing you you have come up against it so far. It maybe that this is the only time t...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon

On the strict subject of who looks for specific serial numbers, I would imagine everybody that uses TVB and its like. How else could you find a specific aircraft that you are trying to follow. I use it all the time it is one of the tools I use when testing or tracking down bugs. That being said, I i...

I don't think that anybody has mentioned these - specifically - so I will ask. Are the 1435 Flt ones in anyone's plans?

Re: SBuilder & Win10 2004

Tim, I think that you might need this package from MS https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=10019 . This is purely the control part. If this does not work then try https://appuals.com/how-to-fix-the-comdlg32-ocx-missing-error-on-windows/ for lots of useful info. It seems that it i...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon

I see what you mean about the Scramble listing. The one thing that I do know about the Saudi serial numbers is that all include the sqn number. For example '1024' will be for 10 Sqn whilst the next one delivered was '3012 for 3 sqn. So I would say that 1001-1024 for 10 Sqn. I am not subscribed but I...

Re: SBuilder & Win10 2004

Tim, Try this. You should find COMDLG32.OCX in your C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder. Using run start 'cmd' with administrator permissions. CD to the folder where the item is Then enter :- regsvr32 /u Comdlg32.ocx regsvr32 Comdlg32.ocx This should ensure that if there is an incorrect registration it will ...
