Re: Looking for the USCG MH-65 Dolphin

Martin, isn't it going to need some slimming down to be useful as an AI aircraft?

Re: Thoughts on the next project

I must confess that whilst the JF-17 isn't a bad looking aircraft and it is replacing most types in PAF service the thing that really sold it to me was the fact that Nigeria have ordered 3!

Seriously, what is the point.

Re: MIL_COMABT or MIL_CARGO?

To be honest it doesn't really matter. As long as they entries in the cfg match the spots you want them to park then they can be anything. Remember the atc_parking_types is only used if the atc_parking_codes parm can't be resolved exactly. What I mean is if the atc_parking_codes match exactly the at...

Re: no ai after install

Sorry just got around to this as I have a few things on at the moment.

It seems like you managed to figure it out yourself which is not a bad feat.
As we used to say in the IT business 'even smart people learn through dumb mistakes'.

Re: Download Issues

OK so apart from having simultaneous tests we seem to have proven that it is your connection, our at least the route that the connection takes. We had a similar problem with somebody a couple of weeks ago in the Middle East and his connection speed was far greater than mine so some outside force was...

Re: Download Issues

I just uninstalled and re-installed it. It downloaded the first part in 3 minutes. So yes I would say that there is either a problem with your ISP or routing issue wherever you are. Your download speed is close to dialup. Is somebody on your home network either streaming or sharing? If you see this ...

Re: An idea for increasing performance in P3Dv4

Well at lot of this depends on whether you want default GA or not. Personally I got rid of it by renaming/moving the default traffic file. This should help you. I say this because if you go to the trouble of adding relatively accurate CIV and MIL traffic why would you need the default file at all? O...

The latest one is Block 70, if you are talking the real thing.

Versions released in this model are 50, 50+, 52, 52+ and 60.

Re: General MAIW Conversion Package issues

The Top Gun A-4s were Nicks model. Have they been converted? If not you would need to find some schemes for the NMAI ones and substitute them.

Re: F-35 Variants (FS9, FSX and P3Dv4)

Fair enough. I made the assumption that it would be the JMSDF but Brent has more of a focus on Japanese things than myself. So I will go with that until the existence of a stealthy ninja marine corps gets revealed.

Re: F-35 Variants (FS9, FSX and P3Dv4)

Hot off the press.

The JMSDF is ordering 42 F-35Bs for operating off its Izumo class Helicopter Destroyers.

I am guessing that somebody will be having fun with that in a couple of years.

Whilst things Hercules are still in peoples minds.
It has been revealed that C5 ZH885 is the one sold to the USN for the Blue Angels. Also Bangladesh has acquired another 4 from the RAF to make a total of 5.

Re: 25 Sqn

What Steve has actually done is supply all T2s. There are only 28 in service. The pack is not 25 sqn only.

They include the 4 and 25 sqn not just 25 sqn aircraft. If you check each scheme in his pack you will see that ZK010-ZK024 are in 4 sqn colours and ZK025-ZK037 are in 25 sqn colours.

Re: 25 Sqn

What I think is happening is that you have some other 4 Sqn paints in your system.

Originally all T2s were allocated to 4(R) Sqn. They are now allocated to 4(R) and 25(R) sqn. In essence 4(R) gave 25(R) sqn some of its Hawks. Does this help clear it up at all?

Re: no ai after install

If you can give us one base that you had the issue with then we can start to investigate from there.

As a side note have you checked to see if you have any FS9 traffic files in your sim? That is one of the leading causes of no traffic in either FSX or P3D.

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

From an outsiders point of view, Greg, Those J models are not the only ones in my joint folder there are also closed models for the AMI and RAF ones as well. Each of the mdls are different sizes. On the H and H-30s you are correct as the point.0 for those two are different so they must be in differe...

Re: F-15 issues after Europe update

Just to emphasize what Greg's message is. The Matrix is a one choice solution to P3D installations. This is the way it is. If you want diversity and choices on your setup then you have to manipulate EVERYTHING yourself. If you want customization then you can't do it in the Matrix folders as they get...

It is good that it has improved dramatically but it still took twice as long as my download and your speed is 5x greater. It may very well all be related to where you are in the world.

Re: MAIW NBAI Grumman F-14 Tomcat Conversion

It could very well be that somebody wanted to simulate the A+ or B models and thought that it would be helpful to copy and rename other model folders. There is nothing wrong with this but it can confuse people years later when the original reason is lost in the mists of time. As you say the only way...

Re: MAIW NBAI Eurofighter Typhoon Conversion Support

As a general principle always use an alpha that is compatible with the target system.

What I mean is that I have often used an FSX scheme for my system which I have converted to FS9 use. I simply flip the scheme and replace the alpha with an appropriate one that I have exported from an FS9 scheme.
