Re: RAF Drawdowns Proposed
The best put down I ever heard in person regarding noise complaints, was by a Wing Ops officer whilst I was based at Coningsby. He was getting very frustrated by the attitude of a frequent complainant, and it got the better of him. The end of the conversation went something like this:- OpsO: So thes...

The Fruit Stand at Tyndall
Gents, Just to let you know that Graham has released repaints, on Avsim, of the TFS Dash-100 in the guise of the E-9A Widgets based at Tyndall. If you kept the raw text files around from this package this means that you can install these and amend your traffic bgl so as to remove the somewhat older ...

Re: Anyone know if this Herc is in a package??
Nope, definitely in it. I checked #2 and #5 in that dayglo livery. Here is the excerpt from the raw plans for the two aircraft:- AC#3,KX,40%,WEEK,IFR,2/16:33:31,2/17:58:25,200,F,0051,KFLG,4/19:16:28,4/20:41:22,200,F,0051,KCOS AC#4,KX,90%,WEEK,IFR,2/16:33:31,2/17:58:25,200,F,0052,KFLG,4/19:16:28,4/20...

Re: RAF Drawdowns Proposed
The biggest problems I find are with hypocrites. I live less than half a mile from Heathrows 08L/26R, the amount of local residents that are up in arms about the third runway and/or Terminal 6 is unbelievable. What makes it worse is that a large percentage used to work at Heathrow and then retired a...

Re: Anyone know if this Herc is in a package??
Not yet! :D Its from the Dan Bourque package, his first in fact, Plains Warriors. It is available on Fltsim.com , ai_ang1b.zip, if you search for his name its his oldest package. The unit is the 731st AS. I think that this is the only package of his that we haven't updated, yet. The serial number is...

Re: Southwest ANG package by MAIW
Well, my theory is that out of habit he runs Renum first. That is fine unless there are 'F's instead of 'f''s. The renumber goes awry and that is when you get the problem. I get that sort of thing all the time, I only figured it out as I spent all of yesterday evening manually altering all the title...

Yup, re-assign .air to use aired. That's what I did. I think I also uninstalled adobe air as well on the grounds that i didn't think i needed it.

Re: Southwest ANG package by MAIW
I have an idea. see if any of the [fltsim.x] entries are coded [Fltsim.x] I have a feeling that the latest versions of ACA2005 throw a wobbly at that. If so alter them to the lower case 'f' and then try Renum again. Renum will not alter the case this it just ignores them. If you ran this first then ...

Yeah it would be nice if there was a true model of it, but then again there are several types like that.

Re: Question reference a Dyess C-130J repaint
Copying them over isn't enough. You have to rename them to what the model is expecting. Look inside a scheme for a C-130J and you will see the required names.

How much difference is there in height. It sounds to me that it would automatically alter the height so that you would not get multiple aircraft spawning in the same space and time.

There was a limit to ACA2005 because of the alleged limit in FS9, however later versions have that limit either removed or you can ignore the limit at your choice.

Re: USAF T-1's Part 1 package by MAIW
Is the T-1A model the same model used for the Ultimate GA Beechjet 440A package? I notice the air file in this package is named different than the UGA ones. I was hoping to put these paints in the UGA folder. I thought it was a 400A package, in which case it uses the HTAI model. A quick check of th...

Re: Help about some 3D viewer
D3DRM.DLL is a DirectX file. This would mean that either your DirectX version does not include this or somehow the file has become corrupt. i would start by checking your DirectX is ok and up to date.
I have now idea if that particular module is DirectX9 only or whether it is included in each version.
