Re: A question about TNG's

Yes you need to alter the plans to avoid issues. Take the first leg as an example LOXZ-LOWL. This is one leg. Simple. However when you add a TNG you need two legs. LOXZ-LOWL and LOWL-LOWL. Also the leg following a TNG leg MUST begin at least 1 min and no more than 5 minsafter the TNG ends. The MAIW ...

Re: Need some guidance

So if I can sum this up. You want to install the package but it takes up too much space overall. What you would like is to select which bases or aircraft to install from each region.

Is this correct?

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

If it is set to an 8 week flight plan then set it back to 5 and re-compile. The plan itself on the txt file it says 5Weeks, but on AIFP it says 8Weeks. John is correct about all those plans being 5 week plans. I just downloaded the P3D pack and loaded the traffic into AIFP. Now it might be that whe...

Re: FSX/P3D Attack Aircraft Conversions

Greg has said before that the Matrix will focus on current deployments.
Therefore outside of, potentially, the Argentine AF the Brazilian Navy and Draken International it is unlikely that any will be included.

Therefore any other inclusions in your system would have to be manual.

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

Don't forget that the leg number should be checked against the numbers in the last column not the first. The first column automatically puts them in day/time order. The last column is the order that they appear in the text file. Also make sure that you have the time zone set to UTC not local as this...

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

Yes that is the one. Double click on the leg so that the values are at the top and making sure that the week is still set to 4 just select the previous day to the one already selected. Save, Update and compile. As to why you get the error and I don't with the same parm, I don't know. Unless you have...

Re: MAIW NBAI FA-18 Hornet Family Conversion Support

It is simple. 1. Load up a texture that is fine into DXTBmp. 2. Export the alpha to where ever you want. 3. Load up a texture that has the issue. 4. Import the saved Alpha channel to replace the existing one. 5. Save the amended texture into the correct format. 6. Test in game. Once you know it work...

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

I am also using 3.2.19 and just loaded Traffic_MIL_Canada_CC-130HT_435.bgl up. No errors. I ran validation against it and again it was clean. Now as I have my own naming standards I also have to de-compile, amend the txt files and then re-compile. When i did that I got no errors at no time. The inte...

Re: MAIW NBAI Boeing CH-47 Chinook Conversion Support

Interesting, Steve - yet Nick included the dashboard and crew in the model. And they are visible as parts in MCX. It's just the windows I can't find - and there are more of them, even though they're not transparent, than that 270 graphic shows - and I think that graphic is the engine intake filter ...

Re: MAIW NBAI Boeing CH-47 Chinook Conversion Support

I could be wrong here but I seem to remember that Nick made the model w/o windows, some were created like that. The reason being that if you had windows you had to model, even basically, a cockpit which meant more polys and vertices. There were certain types where it was felt that as most people wou...

Re: 207 OCU

You are right, Mark. I have heard that too. However, I have been around long enough to know that things change, even if it drives the Engineering mafia crazy. Its kinda what I hinted at in the last line. At the moment things like sqn markings/codes are going to be an interesting case not least becau...

207 OCU

Don't know if anybody else caught it but 207 OCU moved to Marham with its 6 a/c, so far.
What's more some had Sqn markings on the tail, and yes they have changed them from the red bar bordered in yellow that they wore on Tucanos. Well at the moment anyway, whether they will change is any ones guess.

Re: MAIW NBAI Boeing CH-47 Chinook Conversion Support

Well a bit late to the party but I found the problem. The mdl in the model.ch47d folder was NBAI_Chinook.mdl which is the fs9 version. This is why it didn't show up. I downloaded both the FSX and P3D packages and neither one had that mdl in it. What I believe happened is that somehow you copied the ...

Re: MAIW NBAI Boeing CH-47 Chinook Conversion Support

OK lets start with some simple elimination stuff. Tim, what version of P3D are you using? Also when I looked in the model.cfg for the P3D CH47D I noticed that it said :- normal= NBAI_Chinook P3D now the actual model is ' nbai_chinook P3D '. I don't know if it is case sensitive but try altering the m...

Re: MAIW NBAI Boeing CH-47 Chinook Conversion Support

OK thanks. I have downloaded that package and will investigate. What might help is if you are able to give a CH-47D serial or two from the P3D package that does work. *UPDATE* I have checked a lot of CH-47D schemes and they seems to be the same make up as the ones that you mention so next is definit...

Re: FS9 Scenery Conversion to P3D

Hi Jim, The reason is very simple. Some developers only have FS9. As you say Brian's' Westover and Fairchild sceneries are very good. For scenery to be included as part of Matrix they need to be in P3D format and we have to have permission from the author. Brian is probably amenable to that, I do no...
