Re: B(I)8

Well I must have missed that/those posts and I can't find them now.
I do know that Manschy is still working on his Bruggen project and no B(I)8 has been released by John so at the moment there is no good news for you on either.

I had forgotten about the Wattisham bolthole there, I was at Coningsby at the time.

Re: Lakenheath Pave Hawks

I have Wethersfield set up as the home of a joint UK-US Rapid Reaction Force, which gives me the excuse to have anything I want flying from there, and to modify the airfield in whatever way I want to accommodate them! Makes it a bit busy in Essex/Suffolk with modern-day Stansted and Southend plus 1...

Re: Lakenheath Pave Hawks

Exactly. I wish, I wish I could manipulate a paint proggie.

I would have 892 Sqn F-14Ks land based at Leuchars and 5, 11 and ETF F-15Ks based at Binbrook. Old airfields should never die - they should just get used for weird what if scenarios.

Re: Lakenheath Pave Hawks

Not in my sim, they will stay where I put them  .

In reality, if there new schemes and plans appear then I will probably move them.

Re: ssd questions

To be honest I don't think that it does, but a simple search on google for 'ssd monitoring software' brings up various things including this page https://mashtips.com/ssd-health-test-and-performance-monitor-tools/ . To be honest it is not something that you need to use all the time, check monthly at...

You did not imagine it.
It is included in the jyai_blackhawk_family_fs9_1.zip cunningly disguised as 'Traffic_LN_Helos.bgl'

Re: ssd questions

There is one other piece of advice that I would give for people on or moving to SSDs, especially bootable ones. Although the current gen of SSDs last a lot longer than the first gen drives their is a difference between them and traditional HDs when they get old. Traditional HDs start to get problems...

Re: NAS JRB Fort Worth (KNFW)

Awesome stuff. Quite often we see it from the air as we descend into KDFW.

I was thinking that a nice touch would be some naked F-16s and F-35s for the LM side of the field.
Of course this supposes that there are good enough pics of them naked for a painter to do them.

Re: ssd questions

Looking at your info it seems that you have some stuff installed on your C: drive that you could move to another drive, but you have enough space to clone the drive and move appropriate proggies at your leisure.
So you should be fine with the 250GB drive.

Re: ssd questions

That sounds more than OK. I only have a 250GB Boor disk, with my C: drive set to 230GB which has 111GB free. So to be honest If you wished to save some money get a 250GB and a 1TB. There are various options that I stated some time ago, which improve performance but I will keep to the simplest and ch...

Re: ssd questions

It is always better to have your C drive separate, and only use your C drive purely for the OS. Now most SSDs come with software to allow you to clone drives. I have used the Samsung software and it works a treat. There is one proviso, that normally they will only clone the C drive. Not the disk tha...

Related, they seem to keep crashing their new T-6C Texan IIs.
I don't think that anybody has painted the Mexican birds, or have they?

Re: Mexican AF

it sounds like you know a lot more about the Mexican 737s than I do. When I looked it up I was kinda surprised that they kept the -300s/-200 for the VIPs and had the new -800Ws for regular transport duties. I was also surprised that they have already placed the Presidential 787 in storage. I presume...

Mexican AF

Gents, Continuing through the packages for the Flight plan split project I have reached the Santa Lucia AB project. Now The B727s of EA.502 have since been replaced by 3x B737-800s. Does anybody know if there any any repaints out there for these aircraft? This is not stopping the split, the system c...

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

I haven't but as there are 52x Ghostriders ordered plus the fact that the USAF is updating all of the Hs being kept - including 8 bladed props and new engines- it doesn't really surprise me.

Sounds like a sensible money saving idea.
