Re: Thanks for the KC-130 Japan Package
You didn't make me unhappy John, just surprised that for P3Dv4 you would be content with a degraded texture, given the quality of the graphics in that sim version. I'm really glad that you have learned how to paint from a layered paint kit. It must be satisfying for you to learn a new skill and It's...

Re: Thoughts on the next project
Good to record it here Miljan. I'm also going to add a suggestion from Steve for the Pakistan AFJF-17 so I don't lose it and also the LC-130H recently mentioned.

Re: Thanks for the KC-130 Japan Package
Good to see you are getting there John. You convert the texture in the same way you did for the Dxt5 as the source. Once you have the paint done in PSP, save a copy as a .bmp file. If you are using the paint kit it will be in 2048 x 2048 format. Load that into PSP and resize it (smart resize) to 102...

Re: MIL_COMABT or MIL_CARGO?
MIL_CARGO is assigned in my aircraft.cfg file and that should tally with all the scenery AFCADs that Brent has produced for the models.

Re: Thoughts on the next project
I'm just starting the texture mapping stage for the new project Miljan, so it's certainly invalid for the time being. However, I want to review all the suggestions for the project after that one, and what's in this thread will be really useful. It might be helpful to spill the beans on the current p...

Asdro, read the last two lines of my first post.
The Cats are supplied as "aircraft only" - they will fly somewhere if you make the water AFCADs and flight plans.

Re: Thanks for the KC-130 Japan Package
One of the reasons for switching to FSX/P3Dv4 is the far superior graphics qualities compared to FS9. It's a bit of a pity to forego the RGB paint kit and repaint a Dxt5 texture and compress it again. The degredation is quite noticeable.

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials
Jetrange, sorry I missed that one, which is a bit of a pity because it does have some interesting features, but it's a lot of work. I would also need to research the available scenery and flight plans. I needed a break from the C-130's and I'm now refreshed and knee deep into the next project, but I...

Re: Catalina PBY for Water Operations - FS9 and FSX/P3Dv4
They are all available in FSX native code Chris, so they should work fine in P3Dv4.

Catalina PBY for Water Operations - FS9 and FSX/P3Dv4
Following a request to update my previous land-based AI Consolidated Catalina to enable the model to operate on water, I was happy to oblige. I also took the opportunity to make some improvements along the way. Two variations are included in the package which is for FS9 and FSX/P3Dv4: https://i.imgu...

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials
Concerning the C130 model list where can i find infos about the differences of each model? Well as a start, you could scroll backwards through the posts in this topic and look at the screen shots. Wiki also gives a useful overview: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_C-130_Hercules To delve deep...

Re: John's Junk
John, I believe Brent is quite advanced with modern day FS9 and FSX/P3Fv4 versions of KNFW, using his retro Carswell scenery as the start point.

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials
Just to round off the C-130's, I've uploaded version 2 packages (FS9 and FSX/P3Dv4) for the MC-130's at Kadena, Japan. There was a problem with the spelling of "drogues" in the model.cfg files that was preventing the aircraft assigned these models from showing. In some of the folders, the ...
