Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

The RAF C-130J’s are complete and sent for inclusion in the MAIW Download Hangar this morning. There are 13 of the long fuselage models (C4’s) and sadly only the 2 remaining short bodies (C5’s). The models include doors open/closed, refueling probe/no probe and tanks/no tanks options. The paint work...

Re: JASDF Bases

When I started the "J" project it was only my intention to make the J-30, AC's and EC's. I started with base Gmax models for the long and short version J's, but mission creep sent me in the direction of H's and the like. I kept the initial "J" naming convention for the main textu...

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

Well that makes it considerably easier. I'll just paint ZH888 and 9 then. Thanks for the information, I'm glad I asked.

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

The RAF C5 models are done and I just have to paint them. Looking at the list of serials, ZH887 still had the "RAF 100 tail" as of June this year and ZH883 also had the "50 Year" tail in March. I'll assume both are still current, but I can provide regular tails as an option for w...

Re: Thoughts on the next project

Those are quite interesting John, but I think there's a higher priority for other aircraft according to the list. It's also good to support those designers who are beavering away with scenery too and that creates at least one another option. Just the C-130s for the RAF, Canada and Italy to finish fi...

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

Thanks for that. As I understand it, UK2000 for FS9 is now free, but UK2000 Part 1, V2 (which includes Brize) for FSX/P3Dv4 costs £29.99. I think then rather than buy scenery I won't tend to use after testing, I'll just release the RAF Hercs as aircraft and flight plans only packages. As has been su...

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

I have the RAF C-4's finished (long fuselage) and I'm just about to start the C-5's (short fuselage) conversions and paints. What Brize Norton scenery are people currently using in FS9, FSX and P3Dv4 please? I know there is a version in development for P3Dv4 and that should provide a good home for t...

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

I'm pleased to say that after being away on holiday I was able to pick up the Mildenhall MC-130J's again on my return and finish off the packages, which were uploaded this morning. As always, just give Greg time to make them available. https://i.imgur.com/6sQMXcl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/tjLXN9B.jpg ...

Re: Poseidon - getting there!!

Thanks Jim. A cursory look suggests that I won't need to mod the current USN models I made. The antennae arrangement looks the same so unless something unusual is loaded under the wings, it looks like it's just a repaint job.

Re: Missing Traffic

If everything is in the right place, then the next most likely cause of the problem is that you have one or more FS9-formatted traffic files live in your FSX/scenery/world/scenery folder. Temporarily remove all traffic files except for the New River Ones and see if the traffic appears. If it does, p...

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

Thanks for spotting that one. Note that the Drogue spelling affects both FS9 and FSX model.cfg entries for the MC-130J Drogue models at Kadena. That makes two items on my sweep up list to correct. Just a quick update on what I'm doing at the moment. With Mins's Korean paints packaged and uploaded, I...

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

Thanks Jim, Steve has kindly corrected that in the upload, so everyone should be fine from here on.

Paul, thanks for that one. It's a very minor thing that only affects the identities of the two aircraft, but I'll sweep it up later with anything else that might emerge.

And....

4. props that spin up.

5. simple annotation of parking spots to prevent pushbacks.

6. Reversion to part names for animation (as in FS9) rather than the hugely time wasting and tedious animation tags.

7. Lights that don't bulge when specified in the aircraft.cfg file (as in P3Dv4).

You posted a Spitfire texture on the forum on the 16 March Brandon. Just try the same thing again - zip it and attach the file to your post.

The Gimhae scenery works in P3Dv4. The manual would have told you that.

Mins has asked me to package and upload his repaints of my C-130J_30 in the colours of The Republic of Korea Air Force. 4 such aircraft are based at Gimhae, along with Boeing Peace Eagles. Flight plans are included as are links to some Gimhae scenery. https://i.imgur.com/nVHbHtz.jpg https://i.imgur....

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

I'm just curious, but are only the Marine Hercs at Iwakuni planned to be released, or are the US-based squadrons being released as well? This is not a request, just a question. Thank you. It was never my intention to produce every C-130 there is, rather to provide a selection of models, including s...

Thanks Brent. The airfield is also a destination for one of the tanker routes in the upcoming JYAI KC-130J Kadena packages.
