Found this on the wikipedia site.

Jet engines are referred to as operating wet when reheat is being used, and dry when the engine is used without afterburner.

Mystery solved.

Hey Stew
I am thinking of getting the Farnborough scenery, not the airshow one though. It is exactly like the real thing, they have done a great job.
Cheers for the info.

Hey stew
How do you get on with the Farnborough scenery. Does it hit the frame rates as it looks very detailed.

This is one scenery I would love to have.

Thanks Ron, I didn`t know there were so many of these utilities out there, Its a bit mind boggling. This rapidshot I have has given me the results I wanted but I havn`t had a chance to play around with it yet.

My thanks to all that have come to my aid in this.

Look forward to seeing the photos Nick. Matias, you can`t go to Vegas without having a little flutter on the fruit machines but $340, thats a bit steep mate. Looking at the other threads it looks like there may be a Nellis scenery out in the near future. It looks good & I cant wait to get it on ...

Yeah, the hunter is a cracking looking aircraft, as the old saying goes, if it looks good it is good.
Went to Kemble airshow last year, you want to see hunters put through their paces, go there. WOW

With all the slagging off the Typhoon has had in the British papers it is very refreshing to see Nicks coments, (Big smile on my face about pasting the yanks). But seriously, I think the 2 aircraft will have a hell of a fight in close, but at long range the rapter will rule. Only time will tell. Ano...

Mike I do like the dart. Some of those paint schemes they had were great, and I dont know about you but the planes in those days just had a lot more character about them. Nick Thank you for a great job on those jags especially the T2. ZB615 was retired not long back, not sure about XX145, but it is ...

Mike, sorry for the double post just then, had a window appear & didn`t know if it posted ok.
The delta dagger was a cool looking plane along with the dart.
Did you end your service with the dagger or did you move on to other aircraft types?

I agree with you mike about the F-18E. I saw it at the last Farnborough airshow and hell can that thing turn on a dime, It seemed to out class anything there (even Typhoon).
As said on another thread, I wonder if close in fighting it would give the raptor a run for its money?

Typhoons at nellis

Reading aircraft illustrated the other day, I understand that a few typhoons are out at nellis for a few weeks. I wonder what our american buddies think of it?
