Also check the model radius on the converted model, MCX doesn't necessarily convert the radius properly.

Re: Converting MAIW Models for P3Dv4/FSX
I think maybe I have answered my own question. I opened up the converted HTAI F-16C to see what animations were being used in that model and found out there are tons of custom animations that control what I had thought would convert to standard fsx animations like elevators and flaps. Seems like ev...

Re: What military scenery works in P3D v4?
If you have issues with the runways not displaying correctly or being partially overwritten by the underlying ground texture there is a tool over at the AIG group that you can use to correct the AFCAD file for P3D.
Or you can use ADE and the method Greg has documented here.
Thanks

Saab S-100 Argus for FSX & P3D
Hi, The conversion team I work with have converted the Saab 340 & 2000. This reminded me that The Fruit Stand also released the military version of the Saab 340, the S-100 Argus. There are only a dozen or so of them in the real world but if you want them in your simulated world they can be downl...

Hi Kev,
thanks for the info on G:var - especially the tip that they don't initialize to zero. Off to do some testing (when I get some time)

Re: FSX Native HTAI F-16C Beta 2
Ok so no g:vars for P3D. Have you tried l:vars? Only difference is you have to specify the units. Eg (L:TESTVAR,number) You should also be able to use loads ( l) and stores(s) for certain codes. I have done some really simple testing with L:vars and they seem even more unstable than G:var. G:var at...

Re: FSX Native HTAI F-16C Beta 2
I thought about this a bit more overnight. I don't think a radio call will work. With a nav light or beacon light trigger, the part is visible or is animated when the light is on. With a radio call trigger, even if it can be recognised by the sim, isn't the part going to be visible or animated only...

Re: FSX Native HTAI F-16C Beta 2
I have just opened up the F16 conversions and it seems that there is a model missing. The F-16C Drag Chute does not have an updated "model.normal" in the package. Was this done on purpose ? and if so do I just need to change those entries with "normal" in my Aircraft.cfg to one ...

Re: A-10 Thunderbolt II
The C-130s are on the original HTAI model with .bmp textures. To put them on the AIG update model you would need to swap the models and convert the textures to .dds I'm not even sure if we have permission to distribute the AIG updated model. Thank you. I just converted to the P3D C-130 model and co...

Re: FSX Native HTAI F-16C Beta 2
The only way to do it in FSX/P3D, I've found, is to use the Nav light or beacon light as the trigger with everything happening at engine start, just as the aircraft moves off. You can kill the pushback by placing a blue node on the forward parking link in the AFCAD and dragging it back so that it s...

Okey dokey.... Had a chat with Mike.... You may take the released MAIW F-16s and convert them to FSX standards. Please use MAIW for distributing the converted models. If you need help with the XML, give me a shout. NOTE - Unlike HT's Falcons the MAIW General Electric and Pratt & Whitney Falcons...

Re: FSX Native HTAI F-16C Beta 2
Thanks, I did a quick look and it will be a non trivial effort. There are a number of the attached objects (chocs, engine covers etc) that appear to be welded to the main fuselage (as opposed to separate objects) when I pull the model into MCX. This means that I will need to export each LOD into FSD...

Re: FSX Native HTAI F-16C Beta 2
Thanks Weescotty Completely re-animating the flaps is outside the scope / my ability of what I can/will do. I re-compiled the F-16Cs with the revised flap behaviour that I put into the F-16Ds. In summary, cold and dark - flaps up, taxi in/out - flaps deployed 1st notch take off & climb - flaps d...

Forgot to mention that there are 2 sets of models, one set is normal, the others have the canopy closed all the time. That way you can have variety on the line if you wish.

FSX native HTAI F-16D beta
Hi, Converted the whole batch of the Ds. They include animated pilot heads, animated canopies & elevators, flaps down for taxi & steering nose gear. Some people seemed to have trouble with downloading from OneDrive so lets try Google this time. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4OixBeD_E1haG...

Re: FSX Native HTAI F-16C Beta 2
HI,
I learned some tricks doing the F-16Ds. If it isn't too much work I will update the F-16Cs to the standard of the D's and then upload. If it is too much trouble I will bundle the whole thing (Cs & Ds) together and upload.
