Re: HM-14 Squadron's MH-53 Sea Dragons
Thanks again for putting these together and a small fleet of non-AI models shouldn't drop framerates too much, just need to adjust the NGU parking for these in FSX. I hadn't known that these were not AI models but I did notice, in FS2004, that my fixed frame-rate of 50 went down to 22-23 at times w...

Re: HM-14 Squadron's MH-53 Sea Dragons
Thank you, Navychief88... Perfection Personified... :-) Walter EDIT: Or, there again, mebbe I congratulated myself too soon. :-( Went back in to look at the AI helicopters - found them in 3NGU. Armed and dangerous!!! Not the sleek one I had seen just moments ago when I had the .air file entry change...

Re: HM-14 Squadron's MH-53 Sea Dragons
Hi, try as I might, the helicopters I see are armed with torpedoes and have guys (/gals) hanging out of every opening with machine guns. :-) https://s26.postimg.org/c5lxzbdmt/CH53.jpg I had to change the model from 2 in the aircraft.cfg file... Not what I see in the image 9 or 10 entries below... Th...

Re: Trees, trees and more trees... (Solved, more or less)
Just in case anyone thinks I have gone away... I 'looked at' SBuilder and ADE - decided they were way beyond my capabilities. I was researching autogen trees and airports when someone mentioned ExcBuilder. So I looked at that and all seemed rather easy. Tried it and ran into immediate troubles - all...

Re: Trees, trees and more trees...
Pete, thanks for going to all this effort... Without examining the list in great detail as yet, it looks quite similar to my own folder. I will check it thoroughly tomorrow. I did go down through the first (18) airports in the list and created a flight to each one. Only three of them (UKCQ, UKCW and...

Re: Trees, trees and more trees...
Hi Pete, how quickly and easily our hopes can be risen and then dashed... :-( I removed my current slightly dysfunctional ukraine scenery from ADDON and then followed the instructions (this time to the very letter!) to install from the downloaded files. I then loaded up FS2004. I then created a flig...

Re: Trees, trees and more trees...
Hi Pete, thanks for doing that. It shows me where I might well have a problem, especially with UKBC. I thought I had followed the instructions to the letter as detailed below: Download and install from flightsim.com files: ukraine-1.zip , ukraine01.zip , ukraine02.zip , ukraine03.zip , ukraine04.zip...

Re: Trees, trees and more trees...
Thanks, Clickclickdoh. I found that UKBC had no VTPP file so I went for an airport that had such a file - UKBA -but the airfield maintenance personnel must be on strike there too because trees were all over the place... :-) As regards me getting into SBuilder to create VTPP files - I doubt it. I hav...

Trees, trees and more trees...
Hi, though I seldom fly in the area, I decided to install Dmytro Ryaboshapka aka Maxim Galkov's Ukranian flightplans from the Downloads Section. I am working my way through it - a lot of hard work for me - but undoubtedly a rather huge amount of hard work for the author! Checking out the installed f...

Re: 'HELL'-enic Intrigue
Firebird, Thanks for your interest. I receive hand-me-down PC desktops from my son who is big into gaming. He gave me this one about a month ago, just in time for me to upgrade it to Win 10. He tells me that he has overclocked the i5-3570K as per the manufacturers recommendations at set-up, so he do...

Re: 'HELL'-enic Intrigue - SOLVED
So, a couple of hours ago, this morning, I put all my AI traffic back in to FS2004, including the the Hellenic Helicopters, and enabled all of the HSP scenery I had disabled, and went for a flight around my home airport, Weston EIWT. Thoroughly enjoyable! Feeling so joyous, I decided to create a fli...

Re: 'HELL'-enic Intrigue
Hi, I am almost 100% certain that my problem has nothing to do with the Hellenic Helicopter package. The problem most likely existed before in my FS2004 and was waiting for me to visit Megara. Anyway, if I don't have AI Traffic in, I can get to see the new Megara - a very toothless and vulnerable ai...

Re: Ten for Ten Part 6: Hellenic Army Helicopters
Hi, I disabled the HSP scenery in the vicinity of Megara and tried again. I took out all my AI traffic because I cannot access this part of Greece without FS2004 crashing out ( I obviously insulted a Greek person sometime in my life and they happened to work in Microsoft when the sim was being devel...

'HELL'-enic Intrigue
Hi, I installed the Hellenic Helicopters Package into my FS2004 over the weekend and discovered a Greek hornets' nest. When I created a flight to see the new hardware in Megara, FS stopped working!! It had worked perfectly earlier on in Weston, Ireland. After lots of experimentation I foun...

Re: Multiple Textures in one folder
Hi,
just a final note....
The aal folder in the aircraft folder should read texture.aal.
The folders in aal, for each of the individual aircraft, should be simply in the format N490AA.

Re: Multiple Textures in one folder
Hi, to my knowledge there has to be a separate entry in the aircraft.cfg for every aircraft. The texture for the first aircraft [fltsim.0] would be as Giorgio stated: texture=aal\N490AA. The texture for the next aircraft [fltsim.1] would be then: texture=aal\N491AA. (or as in the aal folder). The te...

Re: 47 Squadron Centenary
So I dashed off to my flightplans folder to substitute this lovely colourful beast for a drab one and found that I had no C-130 aircraft flying from Brize Norton.
Anyone know of any plans that include C-130's at Brize Norton?
Thanks
Walter

Re: MKAI Puma/SuperPuma/Cougar
Hi, as it happens... I have had a Puma doing a merry jig along the taxiway on the way to the runway in RAF Benson EGUB, bouncing up and down, issuing large clouds of smoke, bursting into flames and then disappearing! (The whole sad sorrowful and frustrating story in the 33 Squadron thread in AI Repa...
