Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
Work is still ongoing on updates for Italy. This image is Pratica del Mare (LIRE). It's a complete rebuild of the AFCAD for John Stinstrom's scenery to put it in the right place to allow a photoreal background from SBX. This is in FSX. I note that the original AFCAD we have for the airfield is an 'a...

Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...
Don has now got AIFP working for FS20, using default AI aircraft. However, the post following his linked below gives a link to a procedure for importing FSX AI into FS20. Looks like we may be getting close to MAIW for FS20!

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
Hi John. I’m not touching anything for now. I’ve had a look at what’s out there, and as indicated earlier, let Pete play with Dale’s Adam. Once all the dust had settled, and if a bit more info becomes available, I may look at doing something a bit more detailed. It’s certainly a fascinating and ongo...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
Ok, I've found Dale's OOAD (FSXNBAIRAFOTyphoon.zip at Flightsim.com). It is, as you say FSX. It's just a basic ADEX airfield layout and, as such it should work perfectly well in P3D. Not sure about the conversion to FS9, but I'll let TFF play with that!

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
Thanks everyone. I'll need to re-jig a couple of models to get the Omani configurations and get then them to Ray. I would suggest Pete does the scenery conversion as suggested, pending something in more detail from Tim, if he still wants to do that, when he gets the opportunity. John I’ll have a lo...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
There were no volunteers for that package Brian. It's not just a case of a paint job, but also researching/adapting scenery for the 3 sim versions where possible and creating flight plans. If anyone wants to take on the Omani packages, I can supply a paint kit. John A brief search suggests there's ...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
MPA’s real-life elevation is 71.1m (233 ft). It should be easy to establish whether or not it’s the airfield package or the Orbx (or default) scenery that is wrong.

Re: Hello all
The Great Lakes A-10s and C-130s have been updated for FSX and P3D Great Lakes packages. The other aircraft have mostly been updated (or replaced), though it may be up to you to combine the newer aircraft models with the older liveries. That's not a difficult process, and is likely to be in progress...

Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...
First I've heard of that. I've not seen anyone mention it, and I have to say I don't think it's accurate. As far as I'm aware, the Steam installation is the same once-only buy as it is direct from Microsoft. There's no requirement to have an XBox Live account to run the game, and the only other way ...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
It would be normal for them to go via Lajes, Gander, Bangor and then somewhere mid-USA (Scott?) to get to KLSV, in company with a Voyager. In the days when I did Atlantic trails, each would be a nightstop and arriving in Vegas would be a blessed relief! It is technically possible for them to go dire...

Yes, John. It’s done from within the loaded program. It’s not like the P3D system where you reinstall the whole thing.

Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...
Is it out? I thought it was scheduled for 30th Sep. I picked up the update from the other day (no SDK update in that), but that didn’t include Japan. Edit: ok, just checked the development stream. The next update is released on 29th Sept. There is a small SDK update, but it’s mostly about accommodat...

Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...
No and no, as far as I can tell. ATC is very similar to the FS9/FSX system. Slightly better voiced, but really not much advanced. I’m not sure anyone at Asobo really understands the aviation environment, so, again, the airspace and navigation components are very similar to the older sims. On the oth...

Yes, I must have changed the name at some point without altering it in RDV. But I'm now determined to produce Schnip-schnop!

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
A further note about the GAF plans. Essentially they are an update and translation of the plans developed for the NBAI-generation Typhoons, edited to use John’s aircraft and with obvious errors in the modern context resolved (mostly...!). There are some additional lines to accommodate some new traff...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
Just a small hint for the flightplans of the German Eurofghters: the Airbase Jever (ETNJ) ist closed since September 2013. Apart from this you have done a great work, thank you very much! Olaf Hi Olaf. From my research I understood that Jever, though no longer an active flying base, was still avail...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
Brilliant effort, John. It’s been a pleasure to be a small part of it.
I am continuing to work on the FSX/P3D Italian bases, and hope to have that work completed in the next couple of weeks.
