I really like to use “MAIW ABO” scenery library to improve my home airbase in FS9.
Yesterday I noticed on my arrival at this Airbase in the evening at about 6:00 pm local time, that the roofs of some hangars are missing.
This hangar has the number 806.....8201 in the ABO library, a nice large hangar with a round rooftop.
I never noticed this when I was there at daytime.
So I checked this and found out that the hangar looks good at daytime but when the airport lights are switched on in the evening, this hangar is standing there roofless, sidewalls only. I have also made some tests at other airports, it's always the same.
Now I don't know if there is a night texture missing, do I need special software, or do I need to make certain settings...??
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Re: MAIW ABO
Hi Tom, I've checked in my ADE9, but can't find any ...8201... GUID in any of my libraries.
Are you sure of that number?

Hi Giorgio,
<ModelData
name="806CD8A0A1434200A72F6B4C58FA8201"
sourceFile="Airbase Objects Hangar 155.mdl"
fileOffset="0"/>
This is the full entry in "MAIW ABO.txt" for this hangar. I'm working with EZ-Scenery and when I call up "MAIW ABO" library, I will find the specific hangar at the name "806CD8A0A1434200A72F6B4C58FA8201".

Re: MAIW ABO
Tom, I don't know EZ-Scenery and I think that it works differently from ADE.
I found the name in ABO.txt but there are no reference to what I can see in ADE.
In the Library Object Manager I can see:
Library MAIW_ABO.BGL
Guid 806cd8a0-4200-a143-4c6b-2fa76681fa58
Name MAIW ABO.BGL 155
May be a shot of the hangar can help.

Re: MAIW ABO
You are right, Giorgio, should have done that right away...
Re: MAIW ABO
Hi Tom, same result here. At night time there is no roof.
So probablby the night texture is missing, or we have a new type of "cabriolet" hangar

Re: MAIW ABO
Could also be an issue with a black alpha channel of the night roof texture that makes the roof transparent ?!
Re: MAIW ABO
Its good to know it has nothing to do with my PC or anything else of my FS9 when you have the same result.
I'm just wondering if it's really a missing texture or is there something wrong with the model of this particular hangar!?
Unfortunately I don't have any experiance with models, textures and stuff but I have seen at aircraft models even when the texture is missing the grey body of the aircraft model is still there. Which would give us at least the correct shape of the hangar in this case.
But these are apparently different types of models, aren't they?

Re: MAIW ABO
I have found the cause of the missing roof.
The GUID of the hangar is 806cd8a0a1434200a72f6b4c58fa8201.
The hangar model uses (among several other textures)
Airbase Buildings 4.bmp (day texture)
Airbase Buildings 4_LM.bmp (night texture)
These texture sheets look as follows:
Airbase Buildings 4.bmp
Airbase Buildings 4_LM.bmp
The alpha channels (top right) of the day and night textures look different.
The lower part of the alpha channel of the night texture is black resulting in transparent model parts.
I attached a quick fix for this issue. I did not test it, so please let us know whether it works.
I simply copied the alpha channel of the day into the night texture.
