ADE9x background textures

Hi I'am having a go at some scenery bits but have come to a bit of a wall.
In ade9x for fs9 is it possble to use a basic airport texture like fs9 grass over the airport footprint .
Also when using the grass texture in ADE9x it covers up the taxiways and aprons.
The grass polygons used are taged as a apron.So how can I use a fs9 ground texture over the airport.
When using the polygon tool it will only flatten.Can not add a ground texture to the polygon.
Any help.............

Mark I had a go at this the other day, and in looking through the help file, it seems as this is only a function in ADE for FSX users, not for FS9 users. At least according to their own help document.

I use ADE9 only for apron, taxy and runway (and objects too).

For ground poly and road, I use sbuilder.

It's the only way to obtain good results.

ADE9 can create flattens. It can't create other types of terrain background at this time. As mentioned above SBuilder is probably the best tool for terrain work

OK .I can get the new background base textures to show in fs9 but there are no taxiway runways etc etc.

The airport altitude is set at 18.90 meters is ADE and the polygon is set at 18.896999 meters and pirority 3 in Scenery builder.

I have only used scenery builder to make the base texture for the airport and have used ADE for the rest ie
HAS's aprons runways taxiways .
Can any one help.
I understand that the ground textuers have to be lower than the rest .Looking at the numbers I have done this, so what have I missed .

Any help...........

Mark,

Have you read this tutorial from Mike?

I don't remember having to set an altitude in SBuilder...
