Understandable. But so you know that's kind of uneccessary, if you do that for every base eventually your framerates/CPU memory will suffer.

Unfortunately, most people here are busy workingon other stuff, so finding a repainter with time to spare may be hard to come by. Good luck though.

Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, something that allows you to work in layers.

Yes and no.

You can edit a bitmap to change the registration and squadron markings but when you compile the paint for use in Flight Simulator the quality is terrible as it has been compiled twice.

If you want to distribute the paint you have to get permission from the original painter. I for one do not give such permission as I have trouble with complaints about the paints even though I have not distributed them but my name is all over the texture and readme's.

Why can’t they keep the colours in the bloody paint pots and just leave them grey

Hey i figured out how to be able to keep compiling bmp's without it adding all that color bars that it adds. What i do is save it as a extended 32 but 888-8 with both mip maps check boxes disabled and "box" and scaling feature "smoothen" selected. This is done in Dxtbmp. Saves me the hassle of constantly re-fixing those color bars.

You mean the color bars that are a result of the textures being saved as DXT3? Cause if that's what you are referring to, it's supposed to look that way........ :?

Yea those are the color bars im talking about, i think it makes it look messy. Its not the painters fault its how the DXT3 is saved. Like if you look at a say a F-16, you dont see messy color bars. And thats what ive been trying to figure out how to get rid of for along time. Its not that thye are wrong, i just feel its messy and i try everything to get rid of them and now i have. Its just my opinion and if anyone has the same feeling, they can fix it now.
