Pope Air Force Base

Post by MIKE JG »

Danny and I are putting this package together complete with custom scenery. Here's some progress so far. Should be a nice package with A-10s, C-130s and the Golden Knights Fokker aircraft included.

Now, there is another package I am especially anxious to get my hands on. I was at Bragg for a few years w/PSYOPS and got to spend time on the Green Ramp a time or two at Pope (west side of Ft Bragg). Never got to go tho. Damd!

Are these A-10s RWAI v1.1?

I'm not sure if some missing pieces of farther LODs are still not fixed or you just used v1.0 ...

Rip, I'm not sure as I'm using what Danny sent to me for testing with the package. I'll check with him to make sure he's using your latest version.

YES guys!
It is fully interchangeable...
You've made me relaxed now, 'cos I thought A-10 still need an enhancement I was sure I already did

If so, the v1.1 is worth trying, believe me 8)

I made the switch. That brings up an interesting question. Tom, do you have your own aircraft folders that you use? Or would you have used the aircraft folder I sent you? How does that work with the installer? I am just wondering :)

OK some updating to the scenery. Improved the textures on and in the hangers themselves, made the ramp lights larger and added a flag to one of the hangers. Also using a couple AFCAD parking spots have a couple C-130s parked in the hangers as sort of static scenery.

Rysiek this should look a little better as this is V1.1 of the RWAI A-10.

Here I've made the small hanger that's used for the Golden Knights' F-27 aircraft. We can't find any ground based pictures of this hanger so I had to guess a little.

Speaking of which...does anyone have any personal, ground based shots of Pope?

Its an all covering, choking vine and as far as I am aware is only edible by animals of the non-human variety. Introduced from Japan/China and taking over....LOL A bit like Ivy but rather faster growing.
