Retirement

Post by jetmax »

Tomorrow, after 20 years, 7 months and 20 days I will be retiring from the United States Air Force.

It's been a great life, but it's time to do something else while I am still young!

Scott, Congrats on service well rendered! I know you'll miss it (I still do) but it's the start of a whole new part of your life, enjoy it!

My wife retires in a month, she's an E9 and I'm only an E7 so I'm sure she's going to lord it over me

Congrats again, Regards

Congrats and thanks! I agree with others above, you will miss it. If you stay long enough to retire, it has imprinted itself onto your mind far to deep to wipe clean. Even if you have no traumatic memories, you will still have dreams about one thing or another. I've been out more than 20 years and hardly a week goes by without at least one. Thanks everyone. The ceremony was great. I've got 4 days to finish my honey do's, then I am off to my civil service job at Lackland AFB. So much for retirement.
