Cuban Air Force

Post by shaggy22 »

This is my first attempt at a full package. I've done repaints, afcads, landclasses, VCPMODS and some fictional waypoints. The repaints are very crude and are just there to gain an insight of what should appear in the future. The repaints are for the MiG 21's and 29's. More details in the Readme. Enjoy.

I will put the finished product on Avsim & Fs with textures that are a lot better than mine. However if you want a copy then send me PM with your Email and i'll try and send it that way.

Just a quick update on this. The paints are nearly done. If they look as good as the pictures i have they'll be stunning. It will be released in 2 parts. Repaints in the first part and the rest (afcads, VCPMODS etc) in the second part. Maybe released sometime this week, maybe not though .

Just uploaded the rest of this package to Avsim. They're for the repaints by Michael Pearson.

Enjoy.

Hi Dan,

Just tried out your package, but it locks up at MUSC??
Is that where the scenery is used?
Which packages are the scenery files in?

Many thanks

The scenery is used at all the bases.
I'm afraid i have no idea which packages they are in.

I've absolutely no idea why it locks up there. Does it lock up anywhere else?

Sorry I can't be of any more help. I'll have a look at mine but when i was testing it i didn't have this problem.

It's not fault of the scenery, but there is a faulty texture with the MiG-21s, don't remember which one. It is not saved as DTX3. Just check them with DTXBmp and save them as extended bitmap-->DTX3. I had a CTD at MUHG for this reason.

EDIT: it should be MiG-21 #672.
