RAF Upper Heyford - Released.

Post by Stewart Pearson »

Okay guys, here it is a nice home for the excellent F-111 from John Young.

As usual, this is purely representative scenery and is meant to be a "stop gap" until ACG can complete their all singing -all dancing version.

The original AF2 was done by Dale and mega thanks go to him.

This base also includes the brand new Over-run Barrier Netting created by John Stinstrom. In the scenery the barriers are in their usual "down" position, however John did both versions, so if you can use ADE, you can change them to fulltime "up" which is not realistic, but it's a simulation.

I haven't gone too OTT with Ground objects, but (as usual) theres a list of downloads that you will need. There are 3 effects files done by me, for the night lighting round the base.

Also included are VCPmods for the "Upper Heyford" base callsign. Looking to the future I have also done 12 callsigns for F-111 and 4 for EF-111 that were used by UH machines - hopefully the painters and planners can make use of them.

Have at it guys, I hope you like it and if you don't, let me know what's wrong.

Okay, I have just put a link in that thread to some scans showing the serials of all USAFE based F-111's with an indication to which squadron they belonged...
