Red & White Tucano's

Post by delbydoo »

So whilst Mark & Kev are Hawk bashing (and doing a fantastic job of them too) a long held project of mine was to get the original Tucano fleet up and running. Thanks to Mark Griggs, that is now possible. I've started on a couple of special jobs first, with two more to go, and the normal fleet will just be a case of changing ALL of those numbers.....took a long time on the black ones for the official MAIW package, so good job I'm off this week! Just as a side note, I saw ZF141 at Scampton about two weeks after it was delivered there from Boscombe Down in 1988. Unfortunately didn't have a camera with me at the time

Here are the tasters

Wow! They look great!! The Toucan tail has always been one of my favourites!! I really must get around to making a separate retro instal - I have all the retro packs stored on an external hard drive ready for a rainy day!!

Thanks Kev; I have three setups - one retro (1990ish) one for modern mil and one civvy; if I mixed the modern and civ together it takes about twenty minutes to load for a flight!
Hoping to get the rest finished by the end of this week :D

Here are three more, plus the 7 FTS display ship has been tweaked with an additional badge on the rear of the engine cover, over the exhausts.....I've got a little more tweaking to do as the roundels need to be slightly larger on the fuselage, and moved a bit closer to the cockpit. You can see the revised position on the second aircraft.

If you want all of the above paints, the link is here:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/71kjd ... tucano.zip

Please note: as these are from different time periods I have not done any plans for them.

As for the "regular" paints, I shall be doing three batches - first from the Central Flying School at Scampton, then 7 FTS at Church Fenton and finally 1 FTS at Linton-on-Ouse. These will feature flightplans.

This is gonna take some time........there's a lot of 'em!

That was supose to be our little secret. Now it's New's of the World, stuff. lol

Be great also Daryl if you could upload them to Flightsim.com in a zip folder. Add as many as you care too. :P

Don't forget people, these textures will not only work on the AI model but also the multi-player flight model.

You know, alcohol does things to my.....to my......erm......who am I?

I would upload to flightsim mate but I have had issues in the past with that site so I only upload to avsim. But with these, I have kept these as "one-offs" as they were from different timelines; but I didn't know they were compatible with the multi-player version as well, so I'll upload them to avsim and make a point of that :D

No worries Daryl.
You are welcome to also add the model with them as well as I haven't uploaded it to Avsim.com as yet.
I've had a lot of good feedback on the multi-player model and how it handles in flight, so I'm really pleased with how that turned out.
