Leuchars Typhoons

Post by delbydoo »

OK I threw in the towel and gave in to the little voice in my head......here are the current crop of aircraft currently based at Leuchars, with No. 1 Sqn and No. 6 Sqn.....number crunchers will note that two are missing - ZK318 and ZK325; both of these aircraft are listed on ODW as being with 1 Sqn, but still with 6 Sqn markings, so until they get confirmed, I'll leave those out. There's still plenty to go around. I'll upload after I've eaten something

If you look closely Ray, you will see that those are FGR4/T3's......why? Am I missing something?

Ray
I never got round to doing Leuchers so those paints never got released with the Coningsby package unfortunately

I'm not at home at the moment so cannot check for myself. If anyone else has the same problem, please let me know and I'll reupload the T3"s. I may not have converted them to DXT3......

Hi Daryl

the T3's are all in DXT3 but the FGR4's were in DXT1. Have just changed them and firing up FS now

My apologies to everyone who has downloaded these - Peter is correct in saying the FGR4 textures are all DXT1; I used the texture manager to convert these, and for some reason it kept turning them into DXT1, so I guess if you want a job done properly - do it yourself! So I have disabled the link temporarily, whilst I get the originals converted to DXT3

Adding my thanks - I noticed this issue too, but converted them myself. So good to see Leuchars fully populated again!! Cheers Daryl - you're a star!!

As a slightly OT request, would it be possible to upload the 32bit textures so I can downgrade them myself to DXT3 as i prefer to run without mips, so saving dxt3(mip) to dxt3(no mip) again reduces the quality further.

Ok all sorted - all textures now in DXT3, plus an extra option for those that want 32-bit as well. Am I good to you or what?

The 32bit Textures are great, thanks. Also found the cause of my FS crashing, seems
it was a duff file in my Leuchars scenery. re-installed and no more crashes. :D
