Yes! Yes! Yes! Within a few days or weeks Soesterberg AFB (unfortunately closed in real life) will be the crowded F-102 home plate it used to be in the sixties!mikeblaze wrote:You guys haven't seen anything yet, I did 164 paints for the F-102 package, in excess of 70 individual squadron schemes, and I will release some screenshots this weekend.......
Thank you so much!

Here are selected random textures for the F-102 package. I took great pains to make this as generic as possible, without specialty art on individual aircraft, but all serials are authentic from some time period where they are used.

Re: Century Series (American Heavy Metal)
Okay, here's the first release of the true holiday season (time between Thanksgiving and Christmas). Today is a daily-double, and I just uploaded the F-102 and F-106 to AVSIM, complete packages:
F-102: 10 models and 164 repaints (God, that hurt.....)
F-106: 13 models and 70 repaints
I'll release paint kits after I finish the Voodoo.
You need to suffer my documentation a little bit, it has some very important stuff about research of this project, which should stifle at least a few questions, complaints, or requests (on this page of the thread, lol). I was merciful and put it at the front end of the release notes.

Re: Century Series (American Heavy Metal)
I'm thinking that anybody who says 164 repaints are nothing desparately needs to come paint for me, I could always use the help.......

Well what can I say. You have completed an outstanding amount of work in such a short time. Lovely model and great paints.
Thanks you so much. I am absolutely sure there will be sooooooooo many people getting pleasure out of these.

Mike, you are a veritable modelling machine!! Can't say thank you often enough for the hard work that you, and the others on this site, do to enhance our flightsim experience .... but I'll try.
Many, many thanks.
Many, many thanks.

The dirty little secret here is that these are two-year-old long-suffering projects, there was nothing fast about them, lol......

Re: Century Series (American Heavy Metal)
Here are some early F-105Bs from the 4th TFW (333, 334, 335, and 336 TFS from top-to-bottom). Still in my testing process until Friday, so this is all ya get for the rest of the week. That being said, I have finished base models done for the B/D/F/G variants, so this one's going quick when I get back into it, just down to painting now.

Re: Century Series (American Heavy Metal)
Starting to look a lot like Christmas......
This is the first part of a big two-part Thud package. This is the early years, 1957-1965, and there is no camo to be had. I think the count is 16 models and 119 paints, give or take. This is the F-105B through the early-Vietnam F-105D/F. I have to check a couple of things in-sim, and these get packaged and out the door probably by the weekend. I am driving to get the latter-half package (1966-1978) done before Christmas, and the F-101 before New Year's Day.

Re: Century Series (American Heavy Metal)
Please note that the B's had polished metal, while the D/F had the flat aluminum look (at least from the majority of photo-research), and the alpha channels are adjusted accordingly.
