Al Dhafra (OMAM)

Post by raclim »

Hereby I present to you Al Dhafra air base, located in the United Arab Emirates

I have used the most recent google earth and Bing maps satellite images to place the runways, taxiways, objects, etc
The Scenery objects are not custom made, but are from a variety of available object library's, from which i tried to use the ones that had the most resemblance to the real thing.

AI parking for the UAE's fleet of Mirage 2000's and F-16's are included.
Parking is also available for the French AF Mirage 2000's from MAIW, but i have replaced them with Rafale's
The other AI parking codes included are set for my own use, feel free to edit them.

This scenery was created and tested in FSX, I don't know if it works in FS9. You can try to convert it, but I don't know the outcome.

Have fun flying!

Hey Zsolt,

I am also using all of the FSX addons you mentioned, but i am encountering no problems.

Try using Airport Design Editor (ADE) and check/change the airport altitude.

Randy

Zsolt, had the same issue and checked on a helo only AFD that came with the UAE Apaches non-MAIW mini package, same elevation. No FTX here, but I did find some UAE stuff from a French scenery site that might be causing my issues.

If i remember correctly, The MAIW mirages packages included a Al Dhafra scenery, this should be installed in the "MAIW World Airbases Scenery" folder in the "addon scenery" folder.

Maybe you should try to delete the 5 files that have "OMAM" written in their title's.

Randy
