Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
I think there's a limit to how much tweaking that needs to be done to packages of this size. How many times will users observe the Nellis transits end to end at the precise times of the stop overs? I could spend time amending the flight plans, but I'd rather invest the time on more productive work. If the stop-overs are important to you, could you not make the changes yourself?

Ok no problems John
Looks a great pack, I will get round to installing it later, once I've done the jobs I have been left by the wife

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
It would be normal for them to go via Lajes, Gander, Bangor and then somewhere mid-USA (Scott?) to get to KLSV, in company with a Voyager. In the days when I did Atlantic trails, each would be a nightstop and arriving in Vegas would be a blessed relief!
It is technically possible for them to go direct, with many refuel brackets, but the flight time would be around 12 hours or more (the refuel brackets slow everything down significantly). Pee bottles aren’t made big enough for that.

A hearty "Thanks" to the Typhoon team.

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
just a quick heads up folks.
206 of you downloaded the GAF typhoon package, but only 27 downloaded the update flight plan
so 179 simmers dont have 30+25 and the 7 other textures in your sim !

Ray, I would imagine that a large number of users never visit the forums and never say a word. I will put all the amendments into a supplementary package along with any scenery updates and latest paints. Those users who haven't spotted the posts may spot the new addition in the Download Hangar when I send it. I'll hang on for a week or so, just in case anything else emerges that I might need to include.

sounds like a plan to me John thanks.
Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
Thanks so much for this amazing package! So much hard work has gone into this and it really is appreciated,
I just wanted to ask a quick question to see if anyone was having elevation issues with RAF Mount Pleasant running P3d v5,
I have tried it with and without orbx products but the airfield seems to be a lot higher than the ground below?
Thanks once again for this amazing project!!

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
MPA’s real-life elevation is 71.1m (233 ft). It should be easy to establish whether or not it’s the airfield package or the Orbx (or default) scenery that is wrong.

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
The Mount Pleasant AFCAD is set to 244ft, which is the same as the P3D default scenery setting. It's fine in my P3Dv4.

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
There were no volunteers for that package Brian. It's not just a case of a paint job, but also researching/adapting scenery for the 3 sim versions where possible and creating flight plans. If anyone wants to take on the Omani packages, I can supply a paint kit.

Oh ok John, thanks anyway. Problem with your work is we can’t get enough of it. As usual brilliant outstanding work. Many thanks.

Thanks for keeping everyone honest Ray, I downloaded all the packages in one sitting and just now got a chance to start checking them (RAF 1st).

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
A brief search suggests there's very little out there for Oman. There's payware FSX/P3D scenery for Muscat/Seeb (which has changed enormously in the last couple of years), and MAIW AFCADs for Masirah and Thumrait in FS9. But RAFO Adam (the Typhoon base), Khasab, Musannah and Salalah are all absent. I have no idea what the mission profiles might be for the Omani Typhoons, but I'm willing to put a basic scenery together for Adam once the current list of jobs is complete. Could be a few weeks before I get round to it.John Young wrote: ↑28 Sep 2020, 15:27 There were no volunteers for that package Brian. Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
Dale Ashcroft's RAFO NBAI Typhoon package (on flightsim.com) includes an AFD for Adam, but that is about it for that base I think.

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon
If someone could tell me what models are needed please (from what we have already), I'll get those to Ray, if he doesn't have them already. I think there are only 12 aircraft to paint.
