ADE library objects

Post by VulcanDriver »

I've created a Library, when I added it to ADE using the Library manager tool. it says 109 items to be processed, 26 already in database. I want to remove these 26 items so I can get a clean install.

BTW my new library has a new name. I've deleted the old library.

How can do this?
John

If LOM says there are models already in the database, then the GUIDs are present in other libraries you've already added to the LOM. Re-use of models in sceneries is common, so it's not surprising that you already have some of them. To have them all listed in the library you're trying to install would mean finding out the GUIDs that are duplicated and then finding which libraries already contain those GUIDs. They can then be deleted from within LOM.

Inside your folder for example "Aiport Design Editor 175" you find several subfolders (FS9, FSX, P34 etc).
When you open the sim subfolder (for example P34 (means version v4)), you will find a file called "adeObjectList.dat", which is editable.
Inside this list you find all added objects in your ADE libary (stock or additional library objects).
Hope this helps.
Regards, Manfred.

Good call, Manschy! If you open that file in Notepad, you can search for the objects that are duplicated (in the 'Edit' menu) and delete them. The format of the entries is: GUID; Item name; 'Stock' (all items have this entry); library name; dimensions.
