Re: RAF A109 - GZ100
Does anyone know if the paint kit for the JYAI A109 is available anywhere. I can't find it in the download section. Thanks

Thanks John. No problems downloading or opening the files.
Re: RAF A109 - GZ100
I've done a quick repaint of GZ100 for the JYAI Agusta A109. Thank you to John for making the Paint Kit available so quickly.
I have used the Sweden_A model as I think it is the closest to the RAF aircraft. There are a few lumps and bumps, aerials etc that shouldn't be there, but hopefully they don't show up too much. The interior doesn't look very VIP but I can't do much with that. These are repaints only, no flightplans. I've attached them here as the library is still having problems.

Great stuff, thanks for that-another gap in the sim filled.

Brilliant, many thanks for this.

A basic weekly flightplan to get GZ100 out and about! I can only get 2 files loaded so Airports and Flightplans txt files to follow!

Re: RAF A109 - GZ100
Want to try these alphas that I have used in my setup to minimize the bumpage?
I should add that I use FS9, so they will need flipping and resizing for later sims. I know those sims may also handle alpha differently.
One for the AW109 and one for the Gazelle (Mark Beale made some stellar civilian repaints for that one).
My models tend to intentionally place all options onto parts of the paint kit that can then be used for "alpha hiding", so a model can be made festooned with everything and the painter gets the option to leave stuff off because hideable parts get their own exclusive patch in the texture that can then have black alpha applied behind it. Tends to work better when the Gmax material is also made very slightly transparent as well (something like 97% opaque)- not enough to see, but just enough to make FS realize that things behind it might be visible - at which point it renders parts that would otherwise be hidden by something you actually took away with the alpha trick. With the AW109 and Gazelle, some parts share space on the texture and can't be blanked out without losing something else - something usually important.
The civilian AW109 also has other features that just aren't present here, drooped tailplane ends, slightly different tail structure (I think, been a while since I looked), retractable steps, and a much more sleek upper fuselage.
I think my alpha also removes the wirecutters, since civilian machines seldom go hedge-hopping.
I hope they work well for you. There may be areas that can be extended to remove other bits, but if you experiment on the 109, be careful to look at things such as the instrument panel coaming, etc. when extending that black alpha. If you can improve on it, please post it somewhere here when you get a moment.
