Just encountered one of the supervisors from the original F-22 avionics engineersand he is currently working in Palmdale on some tests for the f-22. We were having a few drinks in the "Crown Room" here in lax and he was telling a lot about the raptor. He totally explained that mishap where the canopy had to be cut open to get the raptor pilot out and a few other cool things about the raptor. This guy was there at edwards for most all of the test flights and he said he he has been to eglin nellis langley and is currently working working with a team in eilson on the ice on the runway issue. He said the raptors cruis pretty high...like 50 plus and some other things about edwards. If anyone needss anymore info I an recall. I pumped him for lots of info, Let me know....
