Edwards AFB

Post by lewis »

After the T-38 repaint in Edwards colors, I wandered around in search of scenery and f/p for Edwards and found a nice scenery from Dennis Waggoner (edwards_afbdw.zip) and a flight plan pack from Dave O'Brien (edwards_.zip), thou they are for fs02, I was able to use it on my fs9 sim. The acft. on the f/p were not AI so I replaced almost all of them using acft from MAIW packs, some repaints from Mark Heimer (Nick's F-22) and a great deal of Graham King's Edwards AFB repaints (F-16, KC135, 707).
Here are some scrennies I would like to share.

Nice shots. I will have to check this scenery out.

Not sure if you know or not but Project AI has a package of C-17's that are based at Edwards. (I forget the unit)

Can you share the AFCAD you are using with this scenery?

He's probably using the AFCAD that came with the scenery. It IS a great scenery set. Been using it for awhile. I have 4 F-15s, 5 or 6 F-16s, 2-B-1Bs, 1 B-2A, 2 C-130s, several T-38s, 2 or 2 C-135s and of course the transients that roll through.

Oh ok. I looked at the bgl files after I downloaded it (didn't install it yet) and didn't see the normal AFCAD bgl name. I guess the AFCAD is named different for this scenery.

I'm pretty sure you don't want to use an AFD from FS8 in FS9. AFD and AF2 do not interchange. I'm sure AFD's flat don't work in FS9.

Ron

Edit: So I should have checked before opening my mouth. The scenery is FS9, it was the fp's that were fs8. Never mind!

I just installed the scenery. It's a good scenery, but there is no AFCAD for it. :(

I apologize, Joseph... I forgot there was a separate download for the AFCADS from Dave O'Brien. Try here: http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=44286

All the helos can be found at "Hovercontrol.com". The Hawk is from Jordan Moore. I have made a couple of changes by adding an CH-53 and another H-60. The original F/P places 3 Army Hawks and 2 Chinnoks. Now there are 2 USAF MH-60's, 1 Army UH-60, 1 Army Chinook and 1 USAF CH-53 Pavelow. It is very cool to just see all the action going on.

Lewis :)

USAF doesn't fly CH-53... only MH-53.
