AI aircraft to show in FS list of aircraft

Post by texas sally »

Why do some of the AI planes show in the FS menu list of aircraft. I want specific AI aircraft to show up. I looked at the Aircraft.cfg files of these AI aircraft. They seem to be the same as a normal aircraft.

The aircraft has been added and with windows explorer I see the files under aircraft in windows. However some of them do not show up under FS list of aircraft when I load FS2004.

I am adding redux 3d light to my AI aircraft. To see the plane I need to have it shown up in FS menu so that I can select the plane as if I wanto fly the plane, so that I can see that all the lights has been added to the correct places eg landing lights especially.

Please help me to get all AI aircraft to show up in FS menu.

What is funny is that same model plane like nick black F-15 show up for a specific airport. For another airport those F-15's do not show in the FS list of aircraft.. WHATS UP, people. I looked and cannot see difference to these aircraft.cfg files.

Please help. it's driving me nuts.

Download Aired from Avsim or Flightsim and change a parameter in xxx.air file.
Search for AIRCRAFT TYPE and change the value from 2 to 0.
This will make the a/c visible in the list.

Ciao

In FSX it is the availability of the panel folder that makes an aircraft appear in the list. Took me a bit by surprise
