I remember watching a Chinook lifting a F4 Phantom in the Falklands in 1982. Impressive to see the steps those guys would go to to keep up with thier flying hours LOL :lol:

Dunno.
We used to use the RAF Chinooks to airlift dead Lynx back to Aldergrove routinely.

Never forget one -
As he came over the hanger towards the pan the Lynx started swinging. By the time he got over the pan it was swinging quite badly.
So with the Lynx skids still about 10ft in the air he jettisoned it, they don't really bounce that well!!!!
