Absolutely positively PHENOMENAL work guys....keep the ball rolling!
And thank you all for putting in so much time and effort. It is very much appreciated. The USN/USMC stuff is what I've been patiently waiting for...and it has exceeded my expectations considerably. My hat is off to you.

I just came home from vacation and the first good news I get is the Yuma Harrier Package release. I can definitely put away my version of Yuma now. This is the real deal!

Tastes good with FSX too!

Post by Ford Friendly »

Just installed this into FSX (with UT-USA and FSGenesis mesh).

The aircraft look great and work well once the traffic files are converted and compiled for FSX.

I am very impressed with the scenery. It is an excellent replacement for the Instant Scenery/AFX combo I had cobbled together for here prior to this release.

Nice job guys.

Nice banner!!!

HEHE, theres only one issue with that, the F18s stationed here in Yuma dont park under the canopys. They park out in the sun, the canopys are for the F5s and the Harriers only.

But it sure looks good parked under there.

Are there F-18s stationed there now??

Pretty much everything the USMC has passes thru Yuma for WTI courses and the use the ranges, MV-22's/Hornets/Helos.

And to be correct the Hornet in that banner I made is the VRS F/A-18E Super Hornet Cag from VFA-122... I suppose you could say that it was there for joint training with USMC, but the USMC does not yet have any Super Hornets in their own inventory, so the whole realism of the shot is not so good, but to the unknowing eye it looks fantastic... Other than the fact that I need to get the size down so it is not automatically resized and blurred by the forum.

Adam I think the banner size restrictions are something near 400 pixels wide by 150 pixels tall. It's somewhere near that for the forums not to automatically resize them. My banner is that size.

Kinda getting off topic here hope I don't wear out my welcome, but the Hornet is the Vertical Reality Simulations http://www.vrsimulations.com F/A-18E for FS9. It is not yet released however is in the final stages of Beta testing. See the Support Forum on that home page for the most up to date description.

Yes that is right, we get alot of of traffic during WTI.

Any yes we do have Hornets stationed here, my brother goes to school with a couple of kids whos dads are 18 pilots. Also have some Cobras, Hueys, F5s, frequently we get the ospreys, and a few other types of helis, im not a military dude so I dont know all of the names.

Also if you ever do a update for the yuma area, hit me up and I can get up pics of the airfield.

I hate to argue the point, but can you tell me which Hornet Squadrons are permanently stationed at Yuma??? All the MAG 13 squadrons are VMA not VMFA. VMFT-401 are F-5s Maybe you are seeing Detachments from Miramar?

Mike,

It's great to hear of the potential for F-5s and F/A-18s. And one of the good thing about the Flightsim world is can station your AI planes anywhere you want!

Then why are you when you do not live here and see them flying every day? I do not know the squadron names because I am not a military dude, but there are 3 different f18s pilots that have sons that go to my brothers school and are very good friends with my brother.

We have again, F5s, 18s, AVAB harriers, and a bunch of helis.
