Graham, based on the description/write up here, http://www.mindef.gov.sg/imindef/mindef ... mblem.htmlAlso not based at Tengah, at laeast I do not think so, I have painted the reformed Black Knights display team.
I think they are based out of Tengah, but I could be reading into it wrong as they are only specifically mentioning the emblem being the same for the team and the base.
Nice paints by the way.

A couple of screen shots of a Grumman E-2C Hawkeye model in development, sorry no release date, in Singapore Air Force colours. The actual model is for the updated US Navy version with, amongst other things, the new 8 bladed propellers.

Not complaining or begging. Just a tongue-in-cheek reaction.

Yes, they contracted to buy 24, but they aren't actually being delivered until next year sometime. I haven't got a clue about the actual serials.
Personally, "blank" serials would work for me as I seldom look THAT closely at any paint job once it's been installed. OTOH, I know saying that is tantamount to sacrilege for some people.
I'd bet that these guys are either going to form a brand new squadron, be assigned to the 145th and/or be assigned to the "new" airbase at Changi East - as opposed to being assigned to Tengah AB with its older facilities.

they are replacing the A-4s, the first five a due to arrive at Mountain Home in early spring and will begin training along side the 391st FS. Early reports indicate they will be based at Tenagh, but I wouldn't be surprise if they move them to changi.
their suppose to fill the gap between the A-4 and the F-35, and when the F-35s come on-line they'll replace older F-16s.

They will be starting up there own training squardon at Mt Home very soonFord Friendly wrote:Replacing the F-16's? I wouldn't think so. I would think they are replacing the A4S's that are now in storage - but that's just a guess.

I would love for someone to do some repaints for the F-15SG (aka F-15E)

I saw on another forum that the photo was photoshopped back in early 07.jetmax wrote:http://www.xairforces.net/images/countr ... gle_01.jpg
Looks like they do have a flag on the tail.
that why I wasn't sure, the more recent photos don't show it. personally i like it better with the flag as the plane is pretty bare as is.

I found this news article on the Boeing site.
The picture does not show much detail and it has a USAF Serial Number on the tail as it will be in the USA for a while for flight tests.
I have painted the aircraft using Nick Black's F-15E. You can download it here.
