There are also a few military groups that fly on VATSIM.
I fly the Caribbean and the Gulf and sometimes run into some aircraft doing carrier traps.

Since I "fly" for them, guess I should promote them, but works both ways, ie "Guys go download this new MAIW package":

Both are VSOA mainstays that have been on VATSIM for years and still using FS9 for now. As much as I love flying formation with the MAIW packages, the online environment offers that human element needed to simulate military-based procedures.
