I honestly think he was just trying to be funny, but this was shot 5 years ago and A LOT has changed in our society in just the last five years when it comes to being politically correct.

Here is a link to the videos that were posted. This is taken way out of context. SWO's (Surface Warfare Officer), Airdales, (Aviators) and Bubbleheads (Submariners) have all sorts of terms of endearment for each other. I am sure Adm Harvey has said those same things in his career joking around.

I enjoyed my 24 years in the US Navy but it is getting to be so much like a Fortune 500 company and having to worry about whose feelings you are going to hurt.
Heck back in 97 ish the Navy was giving recruits a thing called a stress card. I had a sailor show me the card one time when I was giving the marching orders for the day and I stressed her out. I asked what the f*&k that card was, she told me and I yanked it out of her hands ripped it up and really started on a tirade of cursing and telling her to get back to work.

Re: USS Enterprise Commanding Officer relieved
I think the CO had found a way to interact with his "troops"..... Sounds as though some brass got po'd that he was way more liked than them! I understand that this may appear to be crude humor to some but that's light compared to somethings I've seen & heard! I don't think this Captain career should be done, I would serve with him as he seems to actually care about those that serve under him, which is getting to be harder to find.

Oh I have seen way worst.
Lets see...
Celebrating 1/2 way thru the cruise with a "Beauty" Pageant
Crossing the Line
Crossing the Arctic Circle
I could go on...
But you are correct, the XO found a way to "connect" with his Sailors. Some of the videos like the shower scenes, 3 min is a standard Navy shower, esp if the shower head is like the one shown. On some of my older ships, the shower head was at the end of a hose and it had a button on the side you had to press to, a pain in the rear, when you only have one hand to wash with.
