You will not find generic buildings in any object library. There are no model files of these objects.
Generic buildings are created defining the shape, dimensions and the textures to be used via XML code.

In ADE9X you can save generic buildings from any airport and import them on the airport you're working on.

That is, if you don't fancy xml, the easiest way to do it for now.

All is explained in detail in the ADE9X manual.

There's a file library called "generic.bgl" in this directory:"C:\Programs\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\Generic\scenery.

Just to confirm that generic buildings are created using xml code. They are not in any library and therefore cannot be used with a tool such as Instant Scenery or EZ Scenery. There are, as mentioned however, a number of good libraries out there that provide alternatives to generic buildings.

That's not really what Gary means with "generic buildings" Luciano :smt001

You mean the default Nordholz right? In that case you can "save" that specific generic building in ADE9 and place it on whatever airport you want. You can even change the dimensions.

Jon's right. If it's from the stock Nordholz you can still open the stock airport in ADE9 and "save" the generic building.
