Request: Algerian Il-76
http://www.airliners.net/photo/Algeria- ... 1647375/M/
These aircraft get around all over the place; Europe and the USA.
Would one of the talented painters be kind enough to repaint the RATS Il-76TD in Algerian Air Force markings?
The paintkit is available here.
Flight plans for FSX have been released on Avsim, although they're in FSX format I'll convert them to FS9 format for anyone who wants them. I've already made an airport file for FSX ready for the aircraft and I'll create one for FS9 if there's enough interest. A repaint for the C-130H-30 already exists and I'll do flightplans for them too.
Many thanks in advance.

Re: Request: Algerian Il-76
Luciano,
How would you like to paint the Algerian C-130H like this?
The Algerian Air Force uses a fleet of C-130H and H-30, the H models seem to appear rarely outside Algeria and I assume they're all camouflaged.
The H-30s get about all over the place, none of them are camouflaged and one has already been painted by Michael Pearson.
I'm in the middle of creating flightplans for the H-30s.

I seem to remember seeing one at Southampton Airport a few years back.....CelticWarrior wrote:The H-30s get about all over the place, none of them are camouflaged and one has already been painted by Michael Pearson.

Re: Request: Algerian Il-76
Work in progress.
I'd need registration numbers!
I can't find Pearson's C130h-30 repaint. Where is it?
Cheers.

// C130H (9)

Suggestions?

Re: Request: Algerian Il-76
Ray, I was waiting to see if anyone else had a problem. I thought it might just be an FSX issue, you need to remove the night textures.
Sorry Luciano, there's something wrong with the night textures, they're causing a CTD.

thank you
edit: nope that didn't work for me still the same, but it must be a model issue= remove it all is fine, put it back crash

Re: Request: Algerian Il-76
Night textures are the original ones.
No manipulation by me.
I tried to cancelled them, without luck.
It seems to be a model problem, or a texture problem.
Any suggestion? (FS9)

Re: Request: Algerian Il-76
I tried with Yemenia repaint from another painter. the result i the same.
Re: Request: Algerian Il-76
I've just done the following sequence:
Reopened and re-saved every paint in DXT1 Manipulator - the textures popped up a bit quicker in the select aircraft pages (i've made the aircraft "visible" for testing)
Viewed each paint (they show up fine) in the select aircraft page
Opened a flight at DAAK and had a crash to desktop
Run Process Monitor and tried again at DAAK. Got a CTD. Process Monitor showed that there were multiple calls to the MD2 model and .AIR file before the CTD
Removed all the MD2 paints
Revisited DAAK and had no crash
Opened the sim at other airports with the MD2 model IL76 in position and had no CTD
I then reinstalled 7T-WIC, changed the model to TD and reopened at DAAK and had no CTD
At the moment, it appears that there is a problem in the MD2 paints, but they may work on the TD model - I haven't had time to test every paint though. Could the paints not be compatible with the MD2 model?
Hope that helps...
PS. My IL76 Yemenia paints work fine as well.
Edit: I've just converted all the MD2 paints to the TD model and they work just fine and no CTD with all aircraft in place. I don't know anything about painting, but I've just looked at the paintkit in Photoshop. Could these have been painted on the TD layer and not the MD layer?

Re: Request: Algerian Il-76
For me at least swaping the MD2 to TD models still created the CTD error. I removed the MD2 aircraft and avoided the CTD.
