Hi all, check out FSX Mods at
http://www.facebook.com/pages/FSX-Mods/159968964037304
We make all kinds of edits and tweaks to FSX, specialising in scenery design. So far, we have released RAF St Mawgan, RNAS Culdrose, RNAS Predannack, RAF Lyneham and RAF Portreath scenery; edits to FSX.cfg files including louder menu music, higher texture loading at one time, FPS tweaks and more; textures for aircraft including the Beechcraft King Air in RAF livery (modified to read King Air 200 in the .CFG file) and several more.
Please, feel free to check us out on Facebook and download our products from simviation. We periodically release new versions of files as we update our equipment and products to give the very best freeware to our customers.
MAIW is our choice when it comes to making scenery, and all of our scenery packs are compatible with their excellent AI packs! We are hoping to also release some modified scenery packs using their excellent AFCADs as as basis. So far, we have developed Culdrose and St Mawgan, adding hangars, control towers and making some minor edits here and there. These will not be released until and if we get permission to.
Thanks to all our customers and MAIW,
FSX Mods

Re: FSX Mods
Wait...are you selling a product or releasing as freeware? Either way, you cannot use the MAIW name in any released product and would need to get an individuals permission for their work.

Re: FSX Mods
So you've modified the MAIW AFD's for Culdrose and St Mawgan and you'd like to release them, right?
I was the creator of those AFD files so please send me a PM to go over the details. As Dan explained, there are some requirements like stripping the file of any reference to MAIW.

Re: FSX Mods
Hi all, sorry should have made this post clearer!
My grammar isn't the best, the post should read that we have created some scenery (using default AFCADs with modifications and updates) for release, and would like to include in our readmes reference to MAIW in that our scenery should be compatible with traffic files such as MAIW.
None of your products would be released by us, only a mention in our readme files and installation instructions.
We will send correspondence to necessary persons in due course.
Thanks in advance, and apologies for the error on my part,
Mike Russell

Re: FSX Mods
Well in that case I don't see why that would be a problem. Free publicity!
I was just checking because this:

sounded like you had used my AFD's as a basis for your modifications. If you've made yours starting from the default AFD or from scratch, but copying parking codes from mine for example for compatibility, then I don't have any problem with that.miker32159 wrote:We are hoping to also release some modified scenery packs using their excellent AFCADs as as basis. Re: FSX Mods
Yep, default AFCADS included in FSX are used, modified using scenery from the SDK, autogen and such
I would love to be able to include parking codes in scenery, sounds excellent, thanks
And @sr01, our scenery should work with FS2004, however if this isn't the case, I would be delighted to convert it to FS2004 and release it
