To all, thanks very much from me and my family for the kind words. I have fielded emails of condolence from almost a dozen countries, and it was touching to my family to know that perfect strangers, joined by only a hobby, could be so congenial and sympathetic. The loss in question was my wife's father, but he and I were terribly close; because we had some military life paralells I did not have with my own father. His passing was sudden and unexpected, and has been very difficult to sort out, but I am on the far side of it administratively; and the rest is just time and healing, and support for my wife, her sister, and their mother, who suffered the more painful loss.

So, that being said, Pop was facinated with this little hobby of mine, and was very supportive; so let's roll on, shall we....?

I am posting some preview shots of what is coming. I want to release everything at once, so it will be another couple or three weeks as long as real-life doesn't get in the way. 90% of the modeling is done, 75% of the painting is done, and 50% of the packaging is done.

My fire department job includes wildland firefighting, and I am subject to no-notice deployments for 2-3 weeks for assignments; so if I just drop off the face of the earth again during the summer it is no big deal.

Anyways........ Enjoy the pix.... This is part 1: MiG-21F, F-13, Aero S-108; and part 2: PF, PF-31 (known commonly as FL), PFM, PFMA

Here is a collection of VPAF aircraft from the mid 60s forward, the arch enemy of US airpower in Southeast Asia at the time. There are F-13, PF, and PFM models here......

I love that checkerboard version, that must have been a giant pain in the arse to get the paint to line up on.

Mike P, you've excelled yourself. I also agree with Mike JG with how good the Croatian bird looks. Nice one 8)

Okay here is the last big piece of the puzzle, the MiG-21bis (75A and 75B, different antenna arrays). Twelve loadouts per variant, so 24 paints; here are sixteen of them as a tease.....

.... and this is the other part of the re-furbs package, the MiG-21 Bison. Note a lot of cutting-edge ordnance here, like the Python-4, R-77, and R-73 AAMs; plus the KAB guided bombs (2 types), the Kh-25MP antiradar missile (the MiG-21 is certified for the Kh-66/23 and the Kh-25), and an SPS-141 ECM pod there somewhere. I just need to upgrade my Chinese models to the newer standard of what I finished up with the bis models, and everything will be done..... so close now.

Speaking of the Chinese J-7's, I've got a spot for at least some of the PLANAF ones to park at. Just needs some objects (which I hate doing) and some of the surroundings need a bit of care as well 8). Just a shame there's no mesh for it (the one that used to be at AVSIM got zapped), so the mountain with improved HAS parking is missing in the default setup :?

Last post for today, this is pretty much anything that was built or converted to haul a camera around. Models include FR (Bulgaria), F-13R (Czech), MR (LSK), MFR (Bulgaria), R (dedicated Russian model), and RF (Egypt). When I finish assembling the two-seaters this weekend, all Russian aircraft will be ready to go; just waiting on the Chinese part of it; and that is just tidying up the models and painting.

Okay, I know people are dying to play with these imperfect models....... I am typing up the release notes today; everything is done except Chinese builds, and that is good enough for now, so I am going to post these by the weekend. The Chinese builds might be ready in a week or two, we'll see.
