John, thanks for the reply & thanks for the offer of help; for the moment I'll struggle through, time for me to make the effort.
Fully understand you are "Canberra'd out" at the moment, but hope you are able to return to it in the future; somehow the Mk 8's have that "if it looks right ..." feel to them, and a lineup of sharkmouthed 16 Sqners would be sweet!

I can't find the Lightnings at either Flightsim.com or AVSIM. Where can I download them?

John Young wrote:I uploaded all 10 packs to flightsim.com at 7am UK time today. They should be available later today. It's probably easier to do a search of "JY_AI_Lightning" and then you can pick what you want from the list. However, the individual pack file names are:
JY_AI_Lightning_Pack1_FS9.1.zip
JY_AI_Lightning_Pack2_FS9.1.zip
JY_AI_Lightning_Pack3_FS9.1.zip
JY_AI_Lightning_Pack4_FS9.1.zip
JY_AI_Lightning_Pack5_FS9.1.zip
JY_AI_Lightning_Pack1_FSX.1.zip
JY_AI_Lightning_Pack2_FSX.1.zip
JY_AI_Lightning_Pack3_FSX.1.zip
JY_AI_Lightning_Pack4_FSX.1.zip
JY_AI_Lightning_Pack5_FSX.1.zip
I think everything is there. It was a complicated set of zips to put together.
The Lakenheath traffic files test zip for FS9 and FSX is below:

I have found them now, but adding the filenames into their file library search engine came up with nothing I tried more general searches, and eventually found them. Thanks for the quick response

The answer was in some previous post, in thsi same topic... It's always intersting to read all the topic . Answer of many questions are sometimes in it.
When I search with files names, i've find them directly.

Re: BAC Lightnings - JY_AI
I had already seen that post, but entering the filenames at Flightsim.com did not work for me. I had to do a more general search for "John Young Lightnings", or something like that. I have no idea why it did not work with the filenames, as I entered them exactly.
Re: BAC Lightnings - JY_AI
Nice work John, these actually look more like Lightnings than a lot of the full models out there. Excellent stuff!. Nice the see the Saudi 53's & 55's there too.

Re: BAC Lightnings - JY_AI
Yes, this is a welcome package. I had added some static Lightnings at those locations where there are survivors today (using the parking spot/simple flightplan method), but I have been using the Virtavia flyable ones. These obviously require more resources than dedicated AI planes, so changing to John's versions will improve framerates (and reduce the memory load). Things will improve even further when I can replace the IRIS Vulcans with John's new models!
