Re: B-29 Superfortress
Did the left wing survive slicing through those two runway trees in the second to last screenshot?

Re: B-29 Superfortress
Perspective can be a pain...
If I am not very mistaken, those trees are nicely planted beside the runway. But John will know better, because he is the gardener of this cozy place.

Never noticed those before. It's only my test airfield and I never have autogen switched on. It serves it's purpose though.

That's pretty awesome.

Re: B-29 Superfortress
I would love to find some good aerial photographs of Tinian and Guam so I could make some scenery for those fields, and stuff them full of -29s.
Re: B-29 Superfortress
Thanks so much for this fine model, John. I am sure that we will all enjoy it. Ron
Re: B-29 Superfortress
There is something on flightsim with flightplan and istruction for AI to download. Nothing special. I had it, now removed.LEBTowerGuy wrote:I would love to find some good aerial photographs of Tinian and Guam so I could make some scenery for those fields, and stuff them full of -29s.

Re: B-29 Superfortress
Nice work Ray.
I never realized how much the back end of the B-29 looks like the back end of the B-17. Guess it makes perfect sense during the wartime rush to produce new aircraft models.
Here's some cool B-29 trivia......
With only a few months until the end of WW2, this US Army Air Force B-29 made an appearance at the Fisher B-29 Bomber Plant No 2 Open House at Cleveland Airport on 5/20/45. The Fisher plant, now the IX Center and also known as the tank plant, made control surfaces and engine nacelles for the B-29.
My office is located inside the aircraft hangar that you see in the background of this picture, behind the C-47. The little control tower looking thing, was indeed the first air traffic control tower in the USA. That building is the Atlantic Aviation FBO at Cleveland-Hopkins where I work today. Pretty cool!

There is a Marianas 1945 project nearing completion, just finishing up Guam at the time of posting, over at the Sim Outhouse site. It will have full ai capability. It is for FSX. Check it out here http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/s ... ght=Tinian
