This is one which you'll want to "look away" but cannot because it is fascinating, whilst horrific.

US Apaches, giving the good news to the Taliban.........................not quite like the movies.

You have been warned - if you're squeamish at all - give it a miss.

For all fans of the "Tin Triangle" - the story of the Vulcan raid on Port Stanley.

Apologies if it's already been posted;

Nice cockpit views of F-15 dogfighting and live firing on QF-4 drones.

Damn shame about the Phantoms;

Every year National TV send an airshow of the PAN, and every year speakers and guests say that we have the best aerobatic team in the world.
I've seen the exibitions of the Red Arrows, Patrouille Francaise, Patrouille Swiss, the Sweden and the Spanish and last year the Thundebirds.
I think they are quite right, but I'm Italian. :wink:
Just curious to know the "stranger's thought" :smt003

I think its always a bit of national pride to see ones aerobatic team display, but watching other teams there is always the "ooh" factor when they do something that your team doesn't. I think it's fair to say that everyone's team is the best in their eyes.

It divides opinion in our house.

I'm a Blue Angels fan, whilst my "petticoat management" is Frecce all the way.

(Although we both like the Arrows as well :wink: )

A video on the RDAF 'Christmas airdrops' to the Sirius patrol stations in northeast Greenland:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tH2FPVRWifg

It's in Danish, but the moving images speak for themselves. Worth noting that the first drop is a Christmas tree fitted with glow sticks :D

The flight goes from Aalborg to Keflavik, where the load is reorganized for the drop. The order of the drops depend on the weather, and this year they managed all 3 drops in one go.

Without doubt the highlight of the airshow scene in the UK this year. They are one of the best display teams i've ever had the privilege of seeing :D

Fantastic find Stewart - I've been after this programme for years. I remember watching it when it was first broadcast, and if I remember correctly, at stupid o'clock as well. I'd flown in WL757 the previous September when she came to Jersey for the airshow, flew all around the Channel Islands and the weather was fantastic. Unfortunately, no pictures. My former brother-in-law was a survival equipment fitter on 8 Sqn at the time. Cheers for that. :D

There's a great 10 minute video of the Mosquito in this article. Super flying shots!
