Sally, just a thought: Go above 10,000 feet and see if the landing lights are still on. I remember an ICAO recommendation to keep landing lights on below 10,000 feet (although we don't use it in the Belgian AF). I wouldn't be surprised if the AI aircraft adopt this rule and switch landing lights on...

Could try this Nick - c_gearlight is a part name that only turns the taxi light on when its 'deployed'. Used it on the T-38's. Using that as a parent for a LIGHT_LANDING poly might have the same effect. [edit] Just realised - As we used model based taxi and landing lights, c_gearlight wont help with...

Still really only two ways of 'fixing' them - 1) Texture the invidual polys. 2) If for example its a lower face poly - Select ALL the polys on the complete lower surface Spilt them off Texture as you would a normal part. Happens when for example you texture left and right, but have a poly that is pe...

I cannot wait but I will, PATIENTLY. At least this is something to look forward to. As for the SAAF Gripen, it looks awesome! Should I one day decide to start making aircraft textures, what would I need to get started? Thanks C_D A paint program that supports layers - Photoshop Paintshop Pro Gimp (...

The problem, as I understand it, when using flyable aircraft as AI is the LOD modeling. With only 1 LOD, you see the aircrafts textures the same from any distance. Thus causing frame rates to drop as your CPU struggles to show multiple aircraft with textures that are highly defined. I did read some...
