Re: Eurofighter Typhoon

For P3Dv4 users I have amended the Taif ADE file to add pushback stoppers to the file by Dale Ashcroft. To use these files remove the following files from the Taif Scenery folder: "OETF_ADEX_DA.bgl" "OETF_ADEX_DA_OBJ.bgl" and replace with the files below. Thanks to Dale for allowing me to publish th...

Welcome Matt

There is a wealth of knowledge here across three sim versions so if you have a problem there is bound to be someone who has a solution.

Re: Dans bits & bobs

Jim

In the "AIG Traffic Tools-1.0.1.5.zip" file there is a file called "repeat period week system.xlsx" which will give you what you need. Just select the "Repeat Calandar" tab. it currently extends to week starting 28/12/2020.

Re: Battle of Britain 80th Anniversary

Very nice John. I always seem to get dust in my eyes when I see one of the BBMF aircraft. There is something about the sound of a merlin that catches me every time.

Re: M-346 FSX texture problem

The old adage “RTFM” may need re-explaining to some folk. I agree the standard of recent releases could easily make some people to try them as “Flyable”. You guys are just so good !!

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon

If you read what John wrote properly then you will see that both Taif and Coningsby are already available for FS9 and will work quite adequately with his Typhoons when they are released.

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon

I had a few minutes this afternoon so I decided to convert/install the John Stinstrom scenery into my P3Dv4 and see what it was like. The only tree problem was the ones that are from the "ag_tree_lib_800M.bgl" so I have replaced those with default trees. I have moved all of the placement files into ...

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon

I’m afraid I never got around to installing FSX. I jumped straight from FS9 to P3Dv4. Will have a look at my FS9 Grosetto & see if I can work something out.

Thanks for a huge project and allowing me to contribute in a small way. If any other ADE's need converting to P3Dv4.4 (pushbacks, exclusions etc) just let me know.

Re: Landivisiau LFRJ

Not officially by any MAIW staff at this time. I think that getting permission for the John Stinstrom version of the scenery might be a problem. Having said that, I converted it this morning to P3Dv4.4 and it worked very well, If you follow the guidance that is available on this site you should mana...

Re: Extracting a bgl

The file I was after is “vehicles_aircraft.bgl”. The P3Dv4 version has the Boeing models removed (very petty) although they left the textures behind. I have now found the file on my old FSX install discs and have installed into my sim after checking in MCX. Going to check it worked shortly but wante...

Extracting a bgl

Hi All

I want to extract a single bgl file from my old FSX Disks to replace or supplement the one in my P3Dv4 setup. Two questions:

Can it be done

How?

Many thanks

The 330 in Red is the altitude meaning 33,000ft, for 20,000ft you would put 200. It is repeated for each leg of the plan so you will see a secont ,330, for the next part of the plan.

Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...

As far as I'm concerned its very much a "wait & see" attitude. I'm not going to pay huge amounts of money without knowing a great deal more than has so far been offered. Am leaning towards the Premium Deluxe edition but probably not until a couple of months after initial release. I would like to see...

Re: MAIW MCAI de Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk Conversion Support

You could try changing the distance between the main wheels and even the wheel radius. I have had some success when I had problems with the turning circle of the TFS Dash8's and some of the HTAI aircraft.
