Re: Has anyone had a look at the AI models that are included in P3d yet?
For the F-35A, MCX reports 23000 polygons (roughly 3-4 times that of an AI aircraft) and no LODs. Draw calls are 282 compared to around 40 for an AI aircraft. There are 42 individual textures compared to the usual single one for AI.
It's a user flyable aircraft.

I'm sure you can, but I've done 25 models and that's enough to be getting on with for now.

Re: AI BlackHawk
I uploaded the Black Hawk package that mins has produced for The Republic of Korea to Avsim this morning. The package contains 15 examples of Air Force, Navy, Army and Presidential Black Hawks, using a variety of my my models, including the new "gull-wing": http://i588.photobucket.com/albu...

Yes I agree Mark. That's the first thing to test. My Victor and Canberra models should be exactly the same if only a repaint has been applied.

Re: FSX Help...
Really glad you've found the problem and thanks for posting the alternative way of converting FS9 files to FSX format. I don't know why Microsoft changed the day coding in FSX to cause this incompatibility, but it's been a real pain over the years creating seemingly unnecessary problems for FSX user...

Re: FSX Help...
I notice that two Amberley traffic files in the validation list did not have the FSX suffix, but these have been removed from the recompile list. I don't know that program, but I assume the validation is telling you that all the files are now in FSX format for both your addon scenery and scenery\wor...

CFG aircraft sections copied over and the Merlins are now back and sitting well, whether parked, on the move or in ATC view.

Re: RNAS Culdrose by Gary Barker
I can't see any Merlins at all now at Culdrose. Looking at the 1.4 FDE, the aircraft.cfg has only 7 Merlins listed against the 23 in 1.3. I don't know if these correspond with the flight plans in the main download, but it's getting late over here in the UK so I'll have another look tomorrow morning....

Re: Seaking Reloaded
Thanks for the feedback. Very sticky surface on these Black Hawks and Sea Kings. They are very difficult to shake off once you've touched them because there are so many possibilities. Apart from the HC4 pack, I'd like to have a break from both for a while and start something new. Just realised thoug...

Re: Seaking Reloaded
Some months ago I was asked by Gary if I could re-work the existing MAIW Sea King models for use in his scenery of RNAS Culdrose. The original models produced were back in 2008 by Chris “Elvis” Jones and Rob Nieuwenhoven. I have managed a number of enhancements, including adding: - an interior cabin...

Destined for a package from reconmercs/click: http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss323/Bitmap512/Pave%20Hawk/wings_zpsoyti5cxb.jpg These two MH-60 S examples have stub wings. One is unloaded, the other has a GAU-21?A gun on the left pylon and a Hellfire missile rack on the right. These two bring the...

Re: RNAS Culdrose by Gary Barker
I didn't have a problem with wheels not being on the ground in the Beta Test, but just to be sure I downloaded the current version to take another look. The download took 5 minutes and was complete. After re-installing, the Merlins and Sea Kings were sitting on the ground when parked and when on the...
