Thank you guys,
I am worried about poly count.Main LOD is around 6300.A lot of humps and bumps.

I would not worry to much. There will not be many of them on any one place all together. Lewis

6300 is fine Miljan. My Blackhawk has more than that in LOD1 and the frame rate is fine even with 26 of them on the ramp. Just kill the detail quickly in the subsequent LODs.

I was thinking to add one extra LOD between 200 and 100...

Just a thought Miljan, is your poly count mesh triangles or rectangles? I have a feeling FSDS measures rectangles, but I'm not sure? If it's rectangles, then the true poly count, which is measured in triangles, will be nearer double your 6300, which is too high. Run the model through MCX if you are unsure and see what it reports.

I normally use 7 LODs, LOD 7 being a "paper aeroplane". That's always been more than adequate to take out the detail early on.

Checked through ACM not FSDS so i think poly count is real. I have managed that the heaviest model has around 6600 poly icluding refueling pipe and exhaust gas dispenser.

That's fine Miljan. 6600 won't cause a problem in LOD1. LOD2 doesn't need to be that drastic, but start to hit hard in LOD3.

:smt002 FSDS does indeed count rectangles. I think we came up with a conversion factor years ago of about 1.8 times what FSDS is telling you. Seems to work pretty well but ACM will give the true poly count.

Oh yeah !!! The KLu model is perfect in this colors scheme.

So, with SuperPuma and Cougar finished, the Caracal is not so far ;-)

This is the base for EC725.Fuselage is the same just five blades main rotor needs to be added and double cargo door not single piece like AS532U2.Of course there are different sensors that will be added as well.
