Re: Has anybody seen Mike Pearson ?
Mike's a firefighter in AZ so there's a chance he's been on assignments outside his fire district.

E-4 Mafia at work. I filmed it in landscape but my phone likes to save it in portrait (its old but paid for). YouTube's basic editor fixes it though.

Re: BAK 14 Certification
As far as I know, everyone there is home recruited/former AD/prior enlisted internal hires. No one seems to want to be the last guy pinned for de-arming when a certification is coming. They're usually the unlucky person testing it. Not sure there's enough drugs to make someone crazy enough to make t...

Re: Fire fighting foam idea
It's an interesting concept. It's not viable though. The system would cost millions of dollars and would need to be certified by the aviation regulatory body. ARFF is usually waiting for the emergcy aircraft unless it's an alert 3. If they aren't already waiting, they can be applying foam in under t...

USAF Almanac 2018
Here's the 2018 USAF almanac. You won't find serials or unit air frame strength but there's a lot there for anyone looking to update basing.

Re: AH-1S Cobra and AH-1Z Viper (Super Cobra_
Not to get too off track, the Firewatch Cobras used by the USFS are a comand and control asset. They have an ATGS (Air Tactical Group Supervisor) who acts like an air traffic controller over a fire. They also have sensors to map the fire. The downside for the cobra vs fixed wing is that they don't h...

Re: JMAI F-5 P3D v4
Most detachable ladders require the canopy to be open for it to be hung on the aircraft. From what I've seen, alert aircraft are the only ones that always have the ladder on the aircraft. The ladder is normally only on the aircraft the day of a flight or during maintenance. They seem to be stowed al...

Mark, looks amazing. A slight correction though, Utah ANG is at Wright ANGB (KSLC). Wright-Patterson (KFFO) is an active duty base in Dayton, Ohio.

Re: POTUS on a C-32
The reasoning was beyond the federal government's control. Airport management uses a pavement classification number based on the runway's structure. Aircraft use an aircraft classification number which needs to be equal to or less than the PCN. The PCN numbers for Love Field are 13R/31L PCN 68 /R/B/...

What's wierd is that these aircraft have mixed crews. There's a Sikorsky pilot and a DoD pilot on each helicopter. The rest of the crew is military.

Not strictly photography, but had a MH-60R and UH-60M fly up from the factory for lunch the other day. Someone got it on film so here they are. We get the primer heavy UH-60'Ms every few months.

Re: Real World Changes to MAIW packages
They should probably start with the eight M's they parked to "save money". I guess there are four C-5M's in caretaker status at Travis and Dover which should be in the active fleet. Air Force seems less than thrilled to have then parked.

Re: Kadena F-15 paints??
I owe John an AFCAD for KBAF. Unfortunately, my computer died while I was working on it. Had to upgrade to fsx steam and real life has gotten in the way since then. If someone else has some free time, the AFCAD is the only thing holding it up.
