RN Warships

Post by Garysb »

Mike hudsons FS2004 RN shipss now on avsim

Mikes email to me

Have just uploaded all 12 of my vessels to date in FS2004 form to avsim.com and FlightSim.com. Look for RN Escort Vessels in FS2004 Scenery.

They all have hard decks incorporated in the model except HMS Lion (never converted for helicopters). They do not have navigation lights, smoke effect or wake effect.

I cannot get the aircraft nav lights to work in FS2004. I get the message that it does not understand "visibility" parameters. I can get "beacon" type lights but they are very large and look awful.
I did get the smoke and wake effect to appear but they were aligned north-south and not on the vessel axis. Wake emanating from the side of the vessel looks most odd! I therefore removed them.

I hope you enjoy using them in FS2004.

Now to complete the Type 22 frigates. Will be uploaded for both FSX and FS9.
I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Really good news; I think you and I emailed Mike within hours of each other!!

This will make such a difference, a lot more options; and I have one or two things I am working on, with others and on my own, that may be of interest too - no moe details though, you will all have to wait!

When the RN Lynx is finished it would be nice to have them flying from these!

I think he means more if rather than when. No need to get excited yet :D .
