Dunsfold/Indian Navy SHAR

Post by delbydoo »

Hi all,
Just made some quick paints and plans of the four Indian Navy Sea Harrier FRS51's that were mentioned in the 1990 Military Aircraft Markings.
Not being 100% sure that they would have been at Dunsfold, but it's a fairly safe bet, unless anyone can come up with information to the contrary.

I don't know about 1990, but in 1992 they were at Yeovilton at the time of the Falklands. The Indian Navy dispatched extra personnel to ensure that they ... ummm ... stayed there!

OK finger trouble, but maybe I will have to cop to a brain reboot.

The story of the Indian Sea Harrier fleet 'potential' in '82 was quite well known around UK Mil circles.
