Trees

Post by scottr5213 »

Is there a way to add alot of trees at on time or do you just have to add them one at a time?

The short answer is one at a time.

I do have one scenery bgl that has alot of trees in it. Maybe in the neighbor hood of 50+ or so.
But I believe they are white pine as the trunk is fairly light in color.

If you modeled a whole bunch as one scenery object, you could do it that way. But that doesn't lend itself very well to more than just a single project.

I have been working on Soviet Air Base Belaya (UIIB) as a starting point for the AI TU-22's in fs there is no default scenery there so everything is from scratch, from google earth there a quite a few trees around.

As you know Rocket is doing Bentwaters and Woodbridge at the moment, kinda surrounded by woods. He is adding each tree individually. He says that its time consuming but there is no choice really.

I stumbles across this when I was browsing.
Simviation has a decent designers library.
You might want to check out 'FS2004 Auto Trees' and see if you can use it for your project.
