Could be trouble at the mill again!

I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Well, if they try to invade again, they will be smashed, simple. Does this mean that no sea traffic can get into the islands or can they just approach them from the side opposite the Argies?

How many bases would we need to close to raise the cash to get down there again?

Just remember that we have at least one warship, four eurofighters (have the F3s been scrapped yet?) as well as a fully functional military base and a decent garrison already there. We could just deploy an air squadron that is currently in the UK, divert ships on exercise if they are nearby and load troops on to one of the RFA ships and sail them over. (The only problem would be helicopters-how many serviceable ones are actually in the UK?)

Of course, I know very little of military affairs, so this is just intelligent (ish) guesswork...

We have home field advantage this time, plus the Chileans won't mind if we trash the place.

Might be time to dig out the mothballed Sea Harrier FA2 ( thats if we have not scrapped them already ).

A Naval fleet with no carrier based fighter cover would have me a tad concerned !!

Last time Georgia - this time maybe the Falklands? Hm, Olympic Games seem to face harder political environments.

While colonies regained self governance or given back to surrounding countries I still think the world should stay as it is. Ok, as a German I claim Mallorca to be part of Germany :smt003 We just have to get rid of the remaining Spanish people there and defeat those anually British summer invaders

Scrapped :smt005

But fear not! The international community will come to our aid if the Argies invade, just like they did last ...... ah no, maybe not. There'll just be some token resolutions from the UN again and we'll be left to go it alone once more.

Maybe some of our (so called) allies will once again sell weapons to our enemy.

Hopefully they're too busy counterfeiting our passports...

We could have help from anywhere.. there is oil there!!..
The Argies will have to cancel the school holidays to train the "new recruits".

I wonder if we could hire XH558 from the Vulcan trust.

1 Vulcan + 4 Stormshadows + the entire tanker fleet = BLACKBUCK Episode II ( Return of Maggie )

C'mon Tonka, it's the 21 century. They have those Eurofighters now. If you need some old metal there are still older a/c available. Send some L-1011's, VC-10's or even Nimrods down there. (At least the Brits know how to keep oldtimers in the air.)

Perhaps we could stall the Argies untill JSF and the new super-carriers are ready. How about a 3pm kick-off on Fri 2nd April 2022 ?

Either Microsoft is wrong or you are. 2nd April 2022 is a Saturday :P Yeah, call me nitpicker

Had a quick look at the AAF aircraft inventory. At least from their side it could be just a sequel. Mirage III/V, A4 and those Pucaras that several were shot down in the 80's.

In the end it would be a war (if it will even go that far) Argentine cannot win. It would just be a waste of material, money and lives. :(

The question is why, why are they doing this now? Is their memory really that short?
